Comments Thread For: Pacquiao: I'm a Better Fighter Since Marquez Loss

Mayweather-Pacquiao: At Last, a special film presented by HBO Sports detailing the road to the most anticipated fight of this era, debuts Saturday, April 18 at 12:00 a.m. ET/PT on HBO.

Mayweather vs. Pacquiao takes place Saturday, May 2 from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas live on pay-per-view beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT.

Question: What did you learn from your pair of 2012 defeats that have made you a better fighter?

Pacquiao: “The loss I suffered to Tim Bradley I do not consider a loss. I accept the decision of the judges because that is part of boxing, but I felt I won that fight without a doubt. When I fought Bradley in the rematch I made sure to fight all out for the full 12 rounds. I wanted my world title belt back and I wanted to prove I was the better fighter.

Couldnt KO Brandon Rios (D- fighter) , couldnt finish off ALgieri (C- fighter), was ko'ed heavily by Marquez, but he's going to KO the current P4P king who's never even been knockdown'd.

      Sure.

He fought a speedbag, a heavybag and a double end bag after the KO by Marquez.

In regards to Pacquiao's quote about Bradley... There was a span of about 2-3 rounds in the very beginning where Bradley was out boxing Pac. I was actually worried that Bradley could possibly be all wrong for Pac. Then Bradley pulled a Bradley and regressed mid fight.

In regards to Pac being a better fighter now, I agree. I just see much more in his arsenal like in the Rios fight and Bradley fight he has a wider variety of punches. If you go back to the first Marquez fight and see THAT Pacquiao, he was so ****ing one dimensional it's not even funny.

I don't know if he is a better fighter, but he has adapted a more boxing first, war second tyoe attitude and seems to content to jump in and out, using hand speed and volume punching...

Weird to say but a boxing manny using angles and movements reminds me of JOE calzaghe but with better punching..

Manny seems much more content on boxing to a decision instead of going for the kill.. And this makes him very hard to beat because he has such fast footwork and high punch output..

That's why I think it's in Floyd's best interest to walk down manny behind the high guard and straight rights as opposed to sitting back like hopkins did vs calzaghe and taylor..

Nothing I even said was fanboyish. He did what he was supposed to do vs a punching bag and a guy not ready for this level except knock them out
