Ward-Kovalev is a great fight, but Golovkin-Ward needs to happen first. If Ward moves up to LHW first, the Golovkin fight never happens. I'm fine with Ward remaining at SMW until Golovkin finds his testicles.

Kovalev is just another NO HOPER that HBO created in hopes that he'll be the man to take SOG WARD down.

Ward's style and pedigree is similar to TBE. And like TBE, he's hated on because he actually knows how to box intelligently instead of being a face first brawler like Kirkland and Chavez Jr.

Kovalev beat a Pascal that granpa Hopkins beat years before. Hopkins beat Pascal so easily that at age 45 he was doing pushups in between rounds. LOL!

Kovalev couldn't take Hopkins out at the end of the day. Granpa Hopkins pushing 50!!

LOL! Yet I'm supposed to believe he blasts Ward out with ease?

      LMAOOOOO!

      Sigh...another Great White Hope.

        Hopefully not.

But it looks like Ward is having trouble making 168 now. He demanded Paul Smith fight him at 172.

Kovalev knocks him out in 5 rounds. Ward hasn't done anything impressive since 2011. This is Kovalev's time.

            Fair post.

Ward's inactivity is the only impediment to him beating Kovalev. Otherwise it's BUSINESS AS USUAL for SOG.

Let Ward get two tuneups then it should be GGG and Kovalev back-to-back. Lets see who keeps their zero. I'm picking the guy that proved himself by cleaning out the middleweight division in five straight fights.

Kovalev or GGG are yet to beat a boxer on the level of Arthur Abraham or Mikkel Kessler.

Yet their THIRSTY fans think they'll beat Ward. SMH

No doubt the same batch of fans consistently picking against Mayweather.

But Ward-Smith will be at light heavyweight, because Ward wants it at that weight. Smith has no problem making 168.

I don't think we'll see Ward fight at 168 in the future.

Ward doesn't have anything to keep Kovalev from doing what he wants to do.

Would love to see it. Let Ward get acclimated to 175 and maybe we might. It was against a tuneup, but I remember Ward fought at 171 before the Kessler fight and he looked noticeably stronger. His punches, everything. Not like he hasn't fought there and I think his earlier chin issues may have had to do with sucking down to 160. Not that he would wanna test that jaw versus Kovalev but if he hasn't lost anything, I think he has the size and style to beat him.

At this Point, Kovalev prove himself a dangerous opponent than GGG, because he is bigger and defeated the two top fighters in his division (Pascal and Hopkins).Stevenson is the only one left.

Kovalev is no Froch, Kovalev can box pretty well like what he did in Hopkins Fight and with his power, he can make you think twice before you can land your own punch.
LMAO @ 50 year old Hopkins being a better boxer than a 31 year old PRIME Andre Ward.

                    WOW!

The delusion is strong for GGG/Kovalev.

                    I'm used to this though...

A few years ago it was MATTHYSE.

GGG and Kovalev are better than Matthysse.
