And yea , I ain't buying the conspiracy theory that he purposely gives out incorrect advice. He's always extremely candid and go to ring magazines YouTube channel and you'll see a "Bernard Hopkins perfect execution" series where he demonstrates how to throw certain punches and how to work the heavybag.
Hopkins has great legs too. He can move and glide. That's one athletic attribute that he didn't lose until his mid-40's. And that's when he really started to go downhill.

The moment Floyd got hit even just once...Floyd's game plan is gone. The pain Manny's punches comes with can not be ignored. We heard it first from Lebwaba, Marco Antonio Barrera, Morales, etc. The main thing...you don't know where it is coming from and that is what makes it really painful.

Floyd telegraphs the right hand when he puts the left out to measure you. Keeps you at the distance of his lead hand and he keeps his weight on his back foot then shifts weight to the front while letting the straight right go and usually slipping under to the left.

Great discussions, with the exception of the Hopkins comments. Hopkins is an all time great.

Let's talk footwork, not foot speed. The successful fighter I this fight will win the foot placement. Who has the better footwork? You can't win the foot position jumping In. Floyd wins that battle.

Will body punches play a role in this fight. You have to be a complete fighter to go to the body effectively. Floyd is a tremendous body puncher, and killed southpaw with a variety of body punches. Truth be told, this has been his most consistent work throughout his career, he will murder his opponents to the body.

The word is Pacquiao will overwhelm Floyd with volume and angles. Angles don't work when you don't established the proper foot placement. That requires you to think.

Manny punches harder. He hasn't knocked anyone out in 5 plus years. Rios stood in front of him, slow as hell, took a brutal beating, and was never hurt. Bradley stood in front of him in the 2nd fight and was buzzed, but never threaten to go down. His power is in volume now, and you don't hit Floyd clean twice.

bottom line is at this time, we and I have our own opinions on this fight. I try to look at each body of work, eye test and my little knowledge of the sweet science. All indications lead to floyd winning easily, but this is boxing, and fighting. Every boxer has a chance.

SMH! You had to be the one to ruin it! Every post I've read has had logic, then you come in with "once he feels his power his game plan is over"!! SMH he fought guys 25lbs heavier that have 1 shot to power! PAC hurts you with multiple shots which I don't feel that he will do with Floyd because being that PAC likes to box but not rough people up with dirty tactics, Floyd will be able to dictate the distance and pace of the fight!!!

PAC has better stamina, power, combinations, speed of combinations, fighting on front foot, stamina, fighting in his own pocket, angles, quicker feet, punching whilst moving,

Floyd better defence, jab, jab to body, pull back counter right to jab, inside, outside, timing, fighting on back foot, one punch speed, greater height and reach,

Actually Hopkins still has great legs, in the kovalev fight, he just couldn't pull the trigger. If he let his hands go more he would have knocked kovalev down or hurt him more. Hopkins skill is his deception and setting traps, he has ugly punch technique he relies on craftiness and sneak tactics, he loved coming in swing windmills with his head down low to head butt you. I think Hopkins lost the kovalev fight on purpose he was eating punches and smiling it was not a normal display he was boasting about his chin. Almost sadistically enjoying getting hit to say I can take his punch like candy. Just a strange fight. Kova was smart though he refused to get close and fall for b hop possum act trap

Floyd does telegraph his right hand, but pack an can't avoid it, jmm loaded up a right hand that pack saw coming and he just closed his eyes hoping it misses him and got put on his butt. PAC cannot avoid a right hand. But he is good at taking a jab away, Bradley, Algiers, rios all have good jabs but they couldn't use it effectively with PAC, but the right hand was landing easily.

Yup. Hopkins may not have lost his legs but he can't pull the trigger like he used to. And Kovalev made him awfully tentative. But yeah, it's amazing how Hopkins has remained light on his feet all those years. Lost on purpose though? I don't think so.
