He only does that against guys he knows he can or later in fights when his opponent is worn. Rotating his back foot can also be a trap for his opponent to try and counter, which Floyd throws the left hook off of.

I thought Harrison was a MW as that's what boxrec have him listed as, but he has been weighing in around 155. He's a KO artist from Michigan.

Not so much the jab but the lead hand period. He can jab with it, keep him at distance, set up straights, etc.

Wow. I really like this thred so far with people actually talking about boxing instead of fanboys getting on each others nerves. Awesome! And here´s my amateurish input: Floyd´s lead right hand will cause some problems to Manny. Other than that, I just hope it´s a great fight with grade A reffing and honest judges.

He's done that by being incredibly technically proficient and possessing great skill , mastering the fundamentals.
by skilled i meant everything u said just encompassing it with the word skilled..even i his prime he never was the fastest or strong he need ever advantage he could get outside of that department..trust me when he talks he aint giving pointers...he telling u how to get beat...now that he's about retired u should start listening unless he starts training guys...even his articles i read and say na he trying to make guys "overthink" instead of doing the necessary mental part

The forearm/elbow smash is for guys who rush in with their head. Floyd uses it to discourage guys from trying to head butt him or head rub him. He didn't do it in the Marquez fight because Marquez didn't head rush him. Pac doesn't do that so it won't be a problem. Pac isn't a physical fighter like Castillo, or Maidana, so expecting those tactics from him is silly. Pac beats dudes with his fists, not his size or physicality. Pac is a clean fighter and Floyd lets the opponent dictate how clean the fight is.

                    Skills are learnt

Abilities are genetic . He lacked a lot of natural abilities such as exceptional speed, athleticism and power but did have it in other areas such as chin and muscular endurance before he hit his 40s.

And yea , I ain't buying the conspiracy theory that he purposely gives out incorrect advice. He's always extremely candid and go to ring magazines YouTube channel and you'll see a "Bernard Hopkins perfect execution" series where he demonstrates how to throw certain punches and how to work the heavybag.

Yes, there is one particular straight right that he throws from a certain distance where there's a tell. And I'm sure Manny will look to counter that with the right hook-straight left. Gonna be some tense moments in this fight.

The right Manny needs to be worried about is the one Floyd landed in that recent sparring clip. Mayweather showed really good timing there. He threw that right accurately just as that dude began to think of throwing the jab. He did that very well against Ortiz too btw. And from the looks of it, he's going to try and do it again versus this southpaw.
