Not sure what that is son but Vitali has probably the best jab in heavy history we are talking something that Larry Holmes can't beat. Holy is great and on my list top 10 atg heavys but Vitali is higher.

    WTF did you just say.

      Vitali has an ATG chin?

By which standards? The guys he was facing could barely reach him and he was staggering across the ring against Corrie Sanders.

I don't see how anyone could possibly say he has an ATG chin when his best win is Chris Arreola.

Wlad hasn't been down in the last 10 years and God knows he's faced 5 x better opposition in the last 10 years than Vitali ever did.

Does he have an ATG chin too?

The comparison with Iggy, Adamek and Haye were not intended to be disrespectful in any way..

On the contrary, they were all superb boxers, and so was Holyfield.

The 3 I mentioned hardly ever lost.

You can claim Holyfield fought better opponents and I'd say you'd be right.

But I'd also like to point out that Holyfield's HW resume is 26-10, a bit bummy without his astounding Cruiser run to back it up.

And as some smartass tried to paint it earlier here, I don't think Holyfield would sweat it out over guys like Pianeta or anything.

But the truth is, if he fought the top comp consistently like Wladimir did, he'd have double digit losses.

He lost to Michael Moorer, whom most of WK's opponents would just knock out.

He struggled with Vaugn Bean who would never get a title shot today.

        And so on...

Holy would always be a top boxer in this era but he was too small to box Wladimir or Vitali properly and did not have enough firepower to hurt either of them.

Holyfield vs Haye would have been a rockin fight!

Vitali's chin is pretty decent but not great. Herbie Hide hit him with a big right in round 1 of their fight and he took it ok. Lewis landed some bombs on his chin that he walked through but others stood up to more punishment from Lewis like Mercer and Mavrovic.

He has an ATG chin compared to his brother tho.

Hasim Rahman has a better chin than Wlad.

I didn't read any of that guy you responded to's posts on this thread yet so I'm not too sure where he was coming from but for the record...

Vitali was never dropped after a full career of some of the best, heftiest and power punching opponents in boxing history.

To claim he doesn't have a chin of the absolute highest grade iron is nothing less than ridiculous!

The only chins that are harder than Vitali's are the bum-chins, like Ross Puritty and Marion Wilson for example.

Wlad's chin is a good chin. The absolute heftiest opponents on record, the best resume of any HW in history and the most 200+ opponents with the fewest amount of losses and KD sequences of all time. You cannot wade through all that with a weak chin.

Holyfield was a featherfist. No featherfist has ever wasted Wladimir let alone Vitali and no boxer as diminutive as Holyfield has ever caused either of them even the slightest bit of trouble.

I think vitali's chin is pretty darn solid if not granite. to say its atg status is a bit much but its solid for sure. he had over 40 fights without even getting dropped. the left hand sanders landed he walked right into and obviously didn't see it. those type of shots usually put guys out but vitali got through it. he got a past it lennox at the right time but it was still a devastating uppercut with full force from lennox and vitali got through that. obviously vitali didn't get hit all that much or face a plethora of massive punchers but hes shown enough to prove his chin is at least solid. wouldn't put it on the level of a McCall or younger mercer but its very good. its obviously worlds better than wlads and Id rate it at least a bit better than lennox's

He would be the biggest threat to Vladimir, obviously.

Well yeah I would agree to that because there's no way in hell he's knocking Vitali down.

If we include Vitali, Holyfield is likely getting knocked out. Would be a helluva fight though.

I completely agree it's solid. It probably would be great if he actually fought great opposition. You don't get ATG status in any area with his resume.

There's no question Vitali has a good chin. Completely agree. And I'm still surprised he didn't go down from that vicious uppercut you referred to. But with the rest of the opposition he actually fought, I can't say it's all time great.
