Based on what has been written in other articles in the previous days as well as what Arum stated on 03/11/15, it seemed as if Knoncz was trying to limit the liability to 5 million. Now that everyone is calling him an idiot, he's stating the party at fault needs to pony up 5 million immediately before litigation begins. He's been explained this, hell he explained this when he made the statement but with all the click baiting going on over this fight it took NSB a week to actually give the facts but only because that story had died down and the man did another interview. Given his position on the matter, and his financial capacity, it really IS surprising he will not agree to this additional penalty clause/stipulation. It doesn't necessarily make you wonder why, but it's puzzling nonetheless.

Its puzzling that Koncz is bringing it up now, no offense but would u rather sue for ur 80-120 million dollar purse, or get paid 5 million? And dont say 5 mil was on top cuz no one knows that.........

Negotiations are over, the contracts are signed, sealed and delivered -- Who in their right mind would restart negotiations again just because of a silly adviser whose got a hair up his arse.

if you agree to that clause any good lawyer can flip that back on clean fighter and say that was agreed upon monetary compensation no other money needs to be exchange and end up losing 75mil or 115 mil because fight was canceled
