They each have a certain guarantee......use their guarantees to come up with a flat penalty then. They are acting all shady about this deal, sounds like people want to leave the details vague to bend the rules when needed to me. I mean if papers were signed, the rules are right in front of both parties.

Say the fight doesn't happen........how are you going to sue for anything more than your min guarantee? That's like keeping a DVD from RedBox or something and they try to charge you $250 for that DVD because of their estimated revenues lost because they couldn't rent out that DVD.

Why agree to that taking half your guarantee for either party when you can sue for that plus more? Why limit how much money you can get that doesn't make sense. What you guys really want is the banned to be intact because that ends your fighter career earlier then what was expected with the drug policy that's in place for this fight any country that takes part in Olympics and uses wada code your fighter is banned from participating in any sanctioned events

Looks like USADA is serious about the testing in this fight. We'll soon see how the real Mayweather fights.

You answered your own question if they was to take you to court you can sue for guarantee and judge can throw on punitive damages on top of that. So agreeing and signing that 5mil contract would hamper you suing successfully because other party can say this was the agreed upon amount to be exchanged if one of us tested positive

So many ******s in this thread.

The fact is, the $5 Million that Pacquiao is demanding that Mayweather pays him once he (Floyd) fails a blood test, is in ADDITION to to any penalties (money and 4 year banning, etc.) that both fighter have already agreed on. This is a fact.

Another fact is that $5 million may be nothing to Floyd and Manny (and also nothing compared to the money that Pacquiao will get once he sues Floyd after Floyd has been caught using PEDs) but it is a lot from the point of view of the charities that Pacquiao supports.

Repeat: The $5 million is IN ADDITION TO the already agreed upon financial and ban penalties. And yes, the $5 million that Floyd would have had to pay Pac would mean a lot to Pacquiao's charities, though nothing for Manny who just impulsively bought a $12 million mansion in cash.

You're right.. that's like downloading a movie online that's worth maybe $20 then getting caught and get fined for $250,000. I mean, who thinks to actuatlly sue for that much? They should just charge $25 & delete the file from our computer

According to the always truthful internet Pacquaio has a net worth of 100 mil and 75 mil worth of tax issues. Mayweather gunna have to sue the Phillipines if Pacquaio tests positive.
