It is kind of a joke. A small heavyweight who takes horse laxatives to shrink 3 weight classes challenges an average size middleweight.

Huge at mw? I don't see it. What did he rehydrate to in his last fight? Obviously I'm exaggerating about Chavez but he's practically a cruiserweight.

And yes I agree that GGG wanting to fight a past prime blown up welterweight is also a joke. I've said this many times.

Just look at the sparring, if Chavez is a cruiserweight then so is GGG. GGG is the one pushing Chavez back (not with punches but just with being the bigger man) You know why I get worked up like this? Because I want to like GGG. his punch mechanics are awesome to look at and he fights very regularly. now I also think he is slow and has a leaky defence, his resume is dreadful and he seems reluctant to challenge himself but I still want to like him. Posters like "Golovkin" make it impossible though .... same thing happened with Manny and posters like "checkhooks"

Did you just use the word logic as if it is ever involved in your opinions? Chavez was backing up already before punches where even thrown....keep telling yourself he's a small MW, he needs the excuse if he's gonna keep going back on his word to fight at 168

Golovkin has an huge head(Lamotta big), which might make him look bigger than he is, he weighted in at 173 against Rubio fight night, most fighters cut around 10 pounds or so, he is a perfect sized middleweight nothing more and nothing less. Chaves however usually rehydrated to 180, which is clearly heavier than Golovin's weigh come fight night. These are facts, thing is I don't necessarily disagree with the sentiment that Golovkin should move up, but that is because of the lack of competition at 160,not because he is a big middleweight.
