Comments Thread For: Gennady Golovkin Views Chavez Jr. Challenge as "a Joke"

A few weeks ago, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (48-1-1, 32KOs) challenged Gennady Golovkin (32-0, 29KOs) and dared the dangerous middleweight to move up to 168-pounds.

After watching Golovkin's win over Martin Murray, where the Kazakh puncher retained his WBC-interim/IBO/WBA titles with an eleventh round stoppage, Chavez threw down a challenge. Chavez will return on April 18th, when he faces Polish light heavyweight contender Andrzej Fonfara.

I'm completely forgot how close this fight was to coming to fruition. I would love to see it.

Probably not. Even when Chavez said that on Twitter he wasnt very confident he said "come to my weight class, 168...or 170" lol

No matter what GGG says I picture him saying it with that ****** smile on his face and I can't help but laugh. GGG could say, "ISIS not good boys, I'll show them my bombs" and I'd be laughing.

GGG already bastardized Chavez more than one should ever be bastardized in the gym.
