At least Dan Rafael who boxing scene stole this story from stated the facts "A SIDE AGREEMENT OF $5 MILLION FOR ANY POSITIVE TEST RESULT." This does not mean it would bypass any ban from WADA in the result of a positive test.

Damn, that vid explains it all and the irony that its being explain from the commander and Chief of Team Pac exactly like Ellerbe explained it..This is about getting to the facts not discussing BS opinions. This is coming from the horses mouth which negates the article.

At the same token how likely is it that they could successfully sue for more than 5 million? Sounds awfully fishy to me. Lamont Peterson didn't get sued, mosely didn't get sued, Morales didn't get sued, berto didn't get suedComment

Lol at the PAC turds trying to defend koncz. I guess the smart ones decided to ignore this thread. The others still saying Floyd should sign that need to go to bedComment

I thought Koncz want the 5 mil as both fighters agreement if one is tested positive. That was mentioned right after both fighters signed the contract if I'm not mistaken.Comment

again what are we discussing here is it not the article where koncz say ellerbe say article? This is about getting to the facts not discussing BS opinions. This is coming from the horses mouth which negates the article.

Arum explained what floyds team said when they tried to put in that stipulation. Its still su****ious that he turned that down because how often do we read about fighters successfully getting sued for huge amounts of money like that over a drug test. I dont think they can sue for revenue that it was supposed to generate, they can only sue for the money they spent putting together the fight. Definitely su****ious. Arum had basically just had a heartfelt moment with Floyd at the press conference and was trying to be diplomatic just like he did when he said may 2nd should be for Mexicans. Eff being diplomatic though because Floyd accused him for years without any proof just because they couldn't agree on a cutoff date. He even still accused him after pacquiao said he would take random tests. Heck Floyd sr. Is still accusing pacquiao to this day.Comment

Can someone point out where konz stated that he wanted the 5mil penalty to replace whatever damages either party can sue for in the event that either fighter comes up positive and the event is scrapped as a result?
From what I read, the 5mil penalty would be a side penalty aside from whatever fines/suspensions take place as a result for coming up dirty.
Seems to me that Ellerbe is trying to spin it and make it seem as if konz is requesting a change to the liability when he never once mentioned that.Last edited by Deevel916; 03-19-2015, 10:54 PM.Comment

yes they can sue Manny. But if there is a sign agreement that said failed drug test means 5 million dollar fine, then that's all they'd get out of him. Therefore they dont want to limit liability.Lets say Manny test positive before the fight happened he is liable for loss of income to Floyd, promoters, sponsors, and other en****** that put some money into this fight. Meaning they can sue Manny and his promotional company for being dirty and causes the fight not to happen, if they agreed to term with that 5 mil stipulation. Don't think that it won't benefit Floyd and his team if Manny failed the test. Hundreds of millions will be in his bank account without throwing a punch and knowing Manny's reputation ruin is the biggest win on his part against his nemesis.
This is really cant be that hard.
By they ways this benefitsPac as well if its Mayweather who is dirtyComment
