Comments Thread For: Ellerbe, Koncz Trade Verbal Shots Over $5 Million Fine

The advisers for Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao are trading words over a $5 million dollar drug testing fine.

Manny Pacquiao’s adviser, Michael Koncz, told the Los Angeles Times that Team Mayweather rejected Manny's request for a $5 million penalty if either boxer comes up positive for a banned substance in a drug test. United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) is handling the random drug testing protocol.

The fight is set for May 2nd from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Mayweather has the smartest team in boxing. Ellerbe saw right through that BS. Pacs team is trying to limit liability. Mayweather's team want's NO limits on liability. If Pac comes up dirty TMT will bury him.

Probably the same reason Pacquiao refused drug testing alltogether in 2009.

Ellerbe's logic doesn't add up. Team Pac wants to instill a penalty if either fighter test positive and Ellerbe is spinning it in a way that it's a penalty for Manny if he test positive. And how the hell is that su****ious? The more su****ious thing would be to deny a demand like that.

And of course, it's Mayweather 's team hurling the insults and flawed logic while team Pac keeps cordial and professional. Bunch of amateurs TMT are.

Yeah, good thing he also signed to TMT or else this fight wouldn't happen.
