        This is what I was trying to say to Dirk regarding his thread about why GGG won't fight him. It's obvious Haymon fighters are all being featured in his PBC boxing which doesn't include HBO obviously. These guys (Lara, Quillin, Jacobs) just aren't options.

          Dirk's on a crusade. He does it sometimes.

            Agree. Against Trout he put on a spectacular performance too.

            Part of the reason why the canelo fight stunk so much is because canelo has no clue on how to cut off the ring on an opponent like that, so lara just stayed comfortable on the outside. But that doesn't mean he can't put exciting performances when he needs to (his fights against Williams, Angulo and Trout prove this).

                and thus, the beginning of the end begins for PBC. It was "meh" while it lasted, folks..

                  Lara vs. Mundine would be incomprehensible.

                    Imagine if Lara is the main event, hopefully its not on NBC. It would turn people off.

                      If Lara wanted to fight GGG so bad, then he shouldn't have gone completely silent about fighting him during period between the Murray fight & the Monroe announcement. He retweeted a few peoples comments about him fighting Golovkin, but he made no mention of it himself. I was one of the few people who wanted that fight.

                      In the past Lara only cheer-leads a fight with Golovkin when Golovkin's signed to fight someone else - (Lee for last April & Murray for last Feb).

                      Hard to blame HBO passing on Lara;
                      A- Not many fans wanted the fight
                      B- Big hassle in terms of politics
                      C- Lara's history of putting up a stinking performance

                      Still a chance though Monroe could be prep for Lara, as K2 wants the San Antonio fight next and Golovkin specifically asked for a slick southpaw. That said Monroe gives a similar style, natural MW, American, no-Haymon drama, tv exposure, & cheap price.
