What could drag the heavyweight division down to the depths, at least in the US, is a paper champion from Alabama being sold to the American public on subscription free national TV shows as the second coming of Ali and Tyson rolled into one, while the REAL heavyweight title is ignored.

Fury is going after the real champion, Wlad, and if he manages to beat Wlad his trash talking and clowning will reinvigorate the scene. If he loses badly he will retire and disappear, so what's the problem?

      ^^ Teper's KO of Rogan
80 year old Sean Connery ref was far to slow at stepping in and stopping that.

He looks like another useless plodder who Fury will take a good 7 rounds to get rid of.

I look forward to the tagline Warren gives us for this.
"Risky business" for Hammer.......Fury was more likely to risk being Ko'd walking into the ring.....

ustinov would have zero chance against fury. fury needs a journeyman fight between now and wlad, someone durable with little pop.

Shouldn't Fury be fighting guys who will prepare him for Wlad? You know, tall guys like Wach, Thompson, or Pulev?

He will "call out Wlad" then fight a TBA, same routine as the past few years. When Wlad retires at 42 or something Fury will boldly claim he ran him off.

He should just fight Wlad. He's mouthed off about being ready then being un-ready 1,000 times.

Won't happen, hasn't happened already, certainly not gonna happen before Wlad crushes him. I very much doubt we'll see Fury face any of these guys after his first defeat against the champ either.

Wlad will ruin Fury. if he was to ever face Pulev, Thompson or Wach after the champ they'd destroy what is left of the shell that was Tyson Fury.

Teper is too dangerous an opponent for Fury, if Fury was too chicken shi.t to face Ustinov the feather fisted gigantic bum he aint EVER facing such an heavy punching wrecking ball.

Wouldn't surprise me at all. Fury has already ducked WBC and IBF final eliminators but was too chicken shi.t to go through with a fight against Klitschko, by first facing Pulev or Mitchell/Banks winner. Makes me laugh really as he was making youtube videos proudly telling his fans his fights were eliminators only for him to neglect to go through with them.

Won't surprise me if he avoids the WBO ordered fight against Wlad either, I'm sure he'll find some bs excuse not to go through with it like Wilder promised me a fight I couldn't honor the WBO before stating Wlad be scared of him, or something to the effect of ' I can't force Wlad to fight me .....'
