^^ I dare any detractors to respond to this powerful post?

    End of game.

Tell yaz what, when he starts losing fights or getting pasted in them or starts boxing D graders routinely then make the thread. This is so far baseless rubbish!

          nice one...

But I think the illustrious Jas here might be referring to the dad who fought Hagler.

You know taking a little jibe like nutbags sometimes do claiming that we've never seen any fights prior to 1980, stuff like that.

Usually turn to that kinda **** once they're cornered.

In recent years, Hopkins has lost muscle definition. This is what happens when you start approaching 50 years of age. Bhop is more of a super middleweight than a light heavyweight now.

Of this there is very little doubt in my mind.
i didn't know that, i assume because bernard have been fighting at LHW for a long time he will have hard time making 168.

but i still think GGG vs Hopkins at 168 are farce, i consider it cherry picking. but it still could go wrong for GGG like pac vs oscar

            • i agree that they should have made more of an effort to get lara instead of monroe jr. maybe they don't feel ready for him yet and that's why they sought out a less dangerous slick southpaw instead - as practice? although i see no reason why they couldn't have just got their learning done in sparring instead of televising this.

no one wants to see hopkins stroll right into another big fight after getting his arse kicked by kovalev.

it's not really a myth to claim that golovkin is being ducked when there are documented cases of unambiguous ducks performed by sturm, n'dam, quillin, jacobs, martinez and cotto. even geale and murray postponed the fight for as long as they could. if he'd been able to add all of those scalps to his resume in a timely manner he'd be much further along in his career than he is now.

              • Even if Lara was possible, which is by no means clear, I don't see him as the "name" GGG needs to take his career to the next level.

Outside of hard core boxing fans, Lara isn't a name at all, and GGG would get no credit from the hard core fans for beating up a JMM in what would, imo, be a horrible mismatch.

And yes, Quillin is ducking/avoiding GGG, no doubt about that at all.

Hopefully, he will lose to Andy Lee and GGG will get an opportunity to take another step towards his stated goal - unifying the MW titles.

                • lmao Dirk Diggler is a troll. hes bipolar in his opiniosn to create controversy.

Martin Murray is a very good middle weight, he arguelby beat stern and martinez in their repsected backyards.

Willie is a tune up/get busy fight, like froch had after the bute fight.

                  • GGG has tremendous skill but he and his team are satisfied with HBO just giving him low level opponents. He needs to take control of his career and force the bigger fights.

HBO needs to be called out here as well. I get protecting their investment, but not approving Lara and approving Monroe is ridiculous. HBO needs to force Cotto or Canelo (who has a network deal) to fight GGG. This is the same BS they allowed with Stevenson.

Maybe GGG fights Lara next, but he definitely shouldn't be fighting Monroe now. That's a paid sparring session.

Try reading the whole thread. It has already been explained.
Also, here is Lara on March 8th of this year saying that he is not moving up to 160:
