Of course he'll delude himself. A brotha ducking a whitey??!! That can't happen!!!

But as long as the fight happens it doesn't matter. If anything Stevenson hurt his chances by waiting this long. Kovalev is getting better and Stevenson is closer to 40.

Quebec because there they can get big gate money and the canadians will make it a PPV fight... Kovalev-Stevenson would not produce the same money in Vegas...

QC is quite a fight town. I was there for Hopkins/Pascal and it was pretty live! Tickets were completely sold out and had a hard time even getting into a bar to watch it as they were all packed!

All the better, because if he watched it closely he'd see Pascal was lucky to make it out of round 3 and he doesn't even have Pascal's punch resistance.

He's been running for 2 years, do you just pretend it never happened?
I really hope this fight happens this year. By beating Bhop/Pascal Kov has made himself a bigger name which has made the fight bigger. Should be a great atmosphere in Quebec if it happens there.

Going back to your thread yesterday, should the fight happen this year, Stevenson will make much for it then he would have if it were held on HBO in early 2014 when he signed with Haymon.

They do pretend, they pretend NOTHING that the Superduck has done to avoid all these fights ever happen. As long as it happens eventually nothing else matters. It's such a ******ed mindset and we all know where it came from.

There was no guarantee that Kov was going to beat Bhop and Pascal. Had he lost to either of them this fight would have lost its luster.

What does focusing on what Adonis did and his not fighting Kov mean if they eventually fight? If they fight this year and Stevenson wins, does that somehow take away from the win?

True, but what does that have to with your question?

Should they fight this year, signing with Haymon will get him more money for the Kov fight, which was his objective. It also got him great money for 2 easy tune ups on Showtime by signing to them exclusively.

Kov got an exclusive HBO deal and increased his profile tremendously by thoroughly beating bhop and pascal. He will get more when he and Stevenson fight again if they fight.

If they fight this year, fans will have waited no more than 18 months while the fight got bigger. They got 2 great fights, it just was Kov instead of Stevenson. Is that really a big deal for you as a boxing fan?
