Calzaghe gets destroyed early vs prime Kovalev.

against 44 year old Kovalev, prime joe survives early knockdowns to get a controversial split decision because Kovalev gassed out and stops punching after round 6.

You know the best part about your comment. You expect a 44 year old Kov to be anywhere near relevant. He's what 32 or 33 now Mark my words this guy will be beaten by KO in the next 2 years and be retired with multiple losses by 38.

Most ATG fighters were retired with multiple losses by 38, so what would that matter?

The perfect time to make the fight.

Of course a meeting whilst prime is out of the question. Joe had a terrible case of gout that crept up whenever a big fight in America was on the horizon you see. As was Joe's sensible manner, he knew the stress of a big fight would aggravate his condition. Thankfully the WBO was in full support, allowing him the soft defenses on home soil.

In regards to Kovalev, even if your wishful thinking comes to fruition he's in a matter of months already wiped Slappy out in H2H rankings, accomplished nearly as much and is only a few big wins away from entirely eclipsing Slappy Joe's near 15 year reign of terror over the proud miners and farmhands of Wales.

Kovalev knocks him out. Probably early.

The level of disrespect for Godzaghe around here is sickening. Kovalev is a monster but he's up against a God.
