Definitely starting to feel this guy, he looks legit.

I wasnt convinced at all after the Hopkins fight.

I now think that a Stevenson fight would be 50/50.

Nah, you just can't give Kovalev much credit. Ward most likely retires without going up to 175. He isn't beating Kovalev.

Absolutely a justified stoppage as Pascal was seriously concussed , dazed and confused . Kudos to the astute ref , he did a fantastic job ! I must disagree with ur assessment of Roy Jones being a bad mentor for him as I felt that Roy gave Pascal an excellent blueprint to win the fight . He taught him that awkward defensive strategy that stays in the ducking sorta stance that allowed for great head movement . It worked very well as it allowed Pascal to be very evasive and it caused Kovalev to spend a lot of energy missing . The problem arose when the fatigue set in and Pascal started standing straight up in peek a boo defense which clearly wasn't the game plan . When he went to standing straight up and down into peek a boo defense Kovalev would close in, then tee off wit hard hooks to Pascal ears !

I didn't know RJJ had influenced him to be using that defensive strategy. I definitely agree with that. I said to who I was watching the fight with that Pascal should be adopting the old "fight small/crouch" style(not exactly). Not standing up so straight.
I just meant mainly how different their physical strengths/weaknesses. Then it seemed that RJJ was making him ****y. Like how he was acting after his win over Bute and their rap session in the locker room.

If Ward transitions to 175, there will not be a significant size difference at all, and Ward is definitely more skilled than Kovalev.

I apologize , I meant to say Juicy K not J . Can u prove he isn't ? The world is a touchy place nowadays , u can't say s..t anymore without someone suggesting its libelist . This ain't a courtroom buddy , and boxing is probably the dirtiest sport out there nowadays . What Kovalev is doing is a historical precedent and therefore I have a right to be completely circumspect . When Manny was knocking bigger guys out left and right , something was wrong with u if it didnt raise ur antennas up a bit . Especially considering he's 2 inches short of being a midget . Same goes for Mark McGuire and Sammy Sosa on their historic home run juice campaign . Same goes for when Trinidad came out of nowhere with his abnormal power and KO streak until he was exposed and the bricks fell out his gloves . Yeah , that rappin s..t in the locker room was a bit corny . Especially when it was Roy's song from about 10 years ago or more . Pascal really didnt seem interested but prolly did it for Roy . Really cheesy , I'd agree !

You must've forgot how Ward didn't look so hot vs Abraham's jab and against Bika in general. He's good but he's not so good that he handles someone of Kovalev's caliber as he doesn't have the firepower nor style to beat Kovalev. Plus he's quite a bit smaller. Wurd.
