Bad stoppage? Guess ya'll missed the part where Pascal couldn't tell where the ropes were after Kovalev got up from his slip, also wouldn't be any controversy if folks had seen how Jean stumbled his way face first into the corner while the ref is calling him back to action before the camera panned on him again...people also clearly didn't hear the ref asking him if he was ok just before he ate two more hellacious punches five seconds after that. Hell even Kovalev points at John David Jackson and flashes his mouth guard over it.. But it was an unfair stoppage...go figure.

Pascal was pasted on the corner and just stood there. Koleav knew he was done

I wholeheartedly agree ! We must be living in the new Roman Empire for people think that wasn't a proper stoppage . The Gladiator days r over people , and please don't attempt to resurrect them . At the time of the stoppage Pascal had took 3 up close clean shots to the head without moving , countering or clinching . That's a recipe for disaster when u f..king wit Juicy J

The last time Pascal went to his corner before the stoppage Roy Jones just looked at him with no words , he knew his man had had enough . The damage was severe

Pascal was out, man. He was drunk off like a 5th of everclear. He could barely keep his self upright at that point. Did y'all see Kovalev pointing at him and basically f**king laughing? Right before the stoppage? It's because Pascal (as pointed out already) was stumbling drunk back to the corner just hanging on for dear life just to stay standing.

Leaving a guy in to keep fighting in that state to take flush shots from a monster like Kovalev is a recipe for disaster.

the camera angle was pretty bad and the ref had a much better look at pascal than we had. pascal was hurt badly just before that and likely would have been stopped shorty anyway. not a bad stoppage imo. I don't wanna see a rematch,,, I wanna see kovalev against Stephenson

yea,,,,kovalev can be tagged but I think his chin is pretty good. Adonis cracks harder than anyone else kovalev has faced so he has a good punchers chance but I just think kovalev is a much better fighter and should win it over Adonis by ud or late tko

I think it was a good stoppage, the camera wasn't good but there is a moment when you can clearly see that Pascal was standing up in the corner, then he looked down to see if the floor was wet, then staggered towards the neutral corner. If the ropes hadn't been there he would've gone down.

Also Pascal tends to have stamina issues, and even though he was giving a great effort, way more than I thought he would, he was going to get knocked out soon.

I know that fighters do deserve a chance, and this controversial stoppage may give him one by getting a rematch with Kovalev.

ya good stoppage tonight and last night but honestly sometimes it seems like the referees are looking for spots to stop it sometimes i hate to say it but its true easy to say as a fan bad stoppage but its a selfish thought process no doubt its just tough when such good fights are stopped questionably but both made sense this one and berto
