    • I sincerely doubt Stevenson's chin can hold up to Sergei's power, BUT if it does, Kovalev could find himself in a bit of trouble. Stevenson is faster and hits harder than Pascal, plus he's a southpaw.

Something I found interesting was how Jean was hurting Sergei to the body. Kova's a beast, but he's not invincible.

      • kovalev gets dropped by pascal and they stop the fight in favor of kovalev! have you ever in your life seen such a thing! hopefully it will be overturned to a ko win for pascal. i mean the guy was celebrating by jumping into the ropes and the ref thought he was hurt? bollocks

We all make mistakes, I do too and jump to conclusions but my wife more than me. Luckily I have never accidentally sent my boss an email criticizing him by accidentally copying him on a email. I have heard people have done that and been fired. I'd have a nightmare about that.

I don't know if Adonis' chin will hold up, or if Kovalev's will - I think it is more about who lands the first big one and how the other guy reacts and even then, I could see either guy getting hurt real bad and then when the other guy tries to finish him, he gets nailed and goes out like a light. Both guys may have too much power for each other and could go down a few times each. I might lean toward Kov because of age and how Adonis has been stopped but nothing would surprise me.

Its always been that way, flash knockdowns have been part of boxing, and have always counted. A ref can't just say, eh... that knockdown wasnt good enough, no knockdown.

Thats not how the sport works.

              • We had a superman sighting last night I see . I really don't see Stevenson having much for this guy . Stevenson always is looking for that one hitter quitter and if it doesn't come his power wanes tremendously in later rounds . That's the difference between Kovalev and damn near everyone else , Kovalev's power nor his stamina wanes whereas almost every else's seems to . So ur not fighting against just tremendous power , ur fighting against tremendous circumspect power and stamina that never wanes . If Stevenson doesn't knock him out cold in the first 4 rounds , he's finished . Ward is the only one I know who can possibly beat Kovalev because his power and stamina doesn't wane either . But him moving to 174 may be unrealistic any time soon

I think if both guys with this much power go late into a fight and it is brutal, either guy or both guys might be ruined. The type of fight it could turn out if it goes late could sap so much out of either guy that they are never the same. The night that Mugabi fought Hagler, he was amazing but the consistent beating Hagler handed him, took so much out of him, he was never the same. I also agree about Stevenson losing power later and maybe Ward is the only one who could beat Kov.

Let's start off by saying Cunningham got screwed. The main event was a great fight while it lasted. The referee made a early stop he should have let him go a little bit longer. Luis pabon the referee is a moron.
