The stoppage was a little early but not bad. Pascal can't expect to take shots to the head and not respond, especially after he had already been lit up a couple of times before and only the bell saved him. It was only a matter of time.

If Adonis's chin can hold up to early onslaught, he and Sergey are a fight of the year candidate.

Kov vs Stevenson is a 50-50 fight still

Whoever lands first may win. I have more confidence in Kovs chin but Adonis has massive power

        Lets be honest

        As 50-50 as it gets

It wasn't like he took 10 or 20 in succession. He took a single combination, then fired back and arguably got a knock down of his own (I think most of us would say it was a stumble though). Then Kovalev comes at him and the ref jumps in!?!

This is boxing. It's the hurt game. WTF is it with refs not administering counts (Lopez) or not letting a guy get hit a few times?

It's for real man, Pascal has a great chin and was all over the place.

Kovalev might well be the hardest puncher in the sport PFP.

Wow, you just made yourself look like a fool. They have the same reach and only a half inch difference in height.

I mildly baffled that Pascal was not credited with a KD against Kovalev, even though its Kovalevs fault for coming in off balance, and he wasn't hurt, it was clearly not a slip, and he went down because Pascal clearly clipped him, and he wouldn't have gone done without those punches.

I'm not a fan of pascal, but he should have gotten the KD, and he also should have not gotten stopped like that, give him a chance to fight back.

The ref was all hard and ready to stop the fight, didn't call the KD, and just had to blow his load so he stopped it after first punch.

I hate when good fights get ruined by bad calls. Even though Pascal was a couple punches away from getting stopped and going down, waiting for 1 punch in an action packed fight like this between two warriors. Pabon left everyone else with blue balls because he couldn't wait to blow his load.

That in no way was an early stoppage! Lopez-Berto was an early stoppage. As brave as Pascal has been this fight, he took alot of punishment. After that Kovalev slip Pascal was stumbling all over the ring. Pascal was tired and hurt and if the ref didn't step in after Kovalev landed multiple clean shots, the only outcome would have been a heavy KO.

Stevenson does have power, but Kovalev showed that he has a good chin. We know for sure that Stevenson doesn't. I'm about 65/35 Kovalev right now just because we know he can take a big shot. and Stevenson can be rocked by guys with average power.
