My thoughts exactly. He let Kovalev get all close and then called time in with Pascal in the corner.

Stevenson doesn't have Pascal's chin. But Pascal does not have Stevensons power. Kovalev is good no doubt but Adonis and Sergey letting bombs fly at each other is a 50/50 fight. With probably multiple knockdowns. Kovalev is probably more technically sound than Adonis but he can be hit. And Pascal gotta stop the Roy impression.

Superman-Krusher will be an interesting fight. Stevenson doesn't have Pascal's chin, but he definitely has the power. If he can hit Kovalev with the shots that Pascal did, he could KO him.

On the flipside, if Stevenson gets caught, he's going to sleep, as his chin is nowhere near Pascal's level. Kovalev also showed his whiskers too. Pascal was tagging him with some good counters and they didn't phase him much.

Regarding the stoppage, I felt it was fair. Pascal was seriously hurt, and was still wobbling even after the ref wiped Kovalev's gloves off (you can see him stumbled over to the far corner of the ring). He can say he was watching Kovalev all he wants, but he got his bell rung hard with those last 2 punches. Can't say I blame the ref for the stoppage, even though it would have been nice to see Pascal go out on his shield. Still, he could have gotten hurt, so better we didn't see it. Don't want anymore Meldrick Taylor stories.
