My thoughts exactly. He let Kovalev get all close and then called time in with Pascal in the corner.

You two need to see Pascal after Kovalev trips and goes down, Pascal is staggering, and loses body control , upper body going and his legs take him to that corner, he couldn't control his body, the ref nearly stopped it upon seeing that , but let him continue and was about killed with those two shots,

I just watched the replay, looked like kovalevs legs were square and an arm punch landed and he fell.

probably assumed the ref was calling a knockdown on pascal for falling into the ropes. (ref probably would have called it a knockdown)

The stoppage was good for Pascal's future life , I don't regard Pabon as a very good ref at all but this and Murray a few weeks back have shown he's pretty aware about guys getting hammered too much so he's consistent.

Nobody is beating Kovalev on points you're going to have to stop him when he pumps the jab and works off it w/range he's deadly a little repetitive but he's shown he can mix it up enough to make it not to much of a liability at least.
