May 9th was a bad choice for the Canelo fight.

Lots of people are thinking about the Canelo fight. You do realize that not all casual Mexican fans are also fans of Mayweather/Pac right?

      Nah...
The same trainer that trained Cotto vs Floyd. Diaz was a big reason Cotto was successful vs Floyd. I think even Pedro Diaz would train Cotto better for Canelo than Roach.

Why do people need to think about the Canelo fight, by default, people will tune in to watch the replay of the May/PAC fight, which in turn will get those people not thinking about the Canelo fight, watching HBO by default, it's a genius move by ODLH, your logic doesn't make any sense.

Well no other fight is really being talked about to be fair, Kovalev vs Pascal tonight was a bit overshadowed by the Mayweather vs Pacquiao Press Conference this week

That is the biggest fight in Boxing History everything else is a bit of a AFTERTHOUGHT...FOR NOW!

I don't see anything wrong with Canelo fighting May 9th. Only helps that the replay of May/Pac will air right before it. Too many CPA's posting in here...

The fight is is not being talked about. But you will tune in, I will tune in, and so will all the haters. We will all he watching. So not an issue on May 9th. Could have been on May 1st, or May 3rd. Or May 2nd right before the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, we would ALL still he watching. So what's the issue???

For me just as soon as one great fight is over I am excited about the next good fight even if it's only a week later. Canelo-Kirkland just has to be a vicious war for as long as it lasts. These two fighters lots throw bombs with both hands and refuse to take a backward step. It will probably be a more thrilling fight than Pacquiao-Mayweather.

Sorry, I meant to say both these fighters throw lots of bombs with both hands.
