GGG wants to be a household name. So if he sees an "name" in his division and proven PPV draw, he is gonna call him out. Vacate it, then he'll stop calling him out.
Again, Cotto hasn't even chosen an opponent yet.

I may like or dislike certain fighters and I do have my favorites but facts are facts and you cent disagree with facts especially when they have been proven many times in many situations.

I cant stand Mayweather hate him with a passion but I give him credit where credit is due and you can even look back at my post history and will see this.
What part of Cotto not being a true middleweight do you struggle with?

Did Roy Jones linger at Heavyweight to fight Lennox and Co.?

      Nah...

      Stop being so conveniently feeble-minded.

So where is the glory? Why the hype for this fight if it's a foregone conclusion?

Ah yes... the shiny object that somehow means "nothing" when Cotto wins it from Sergio, but would somehow mean "everything" if GGG wins it from little miguel.
Really?? That would be one his great victories in my book. Stopping the GGG train will have great merits and add to his resume. The fact that he is "expected" destroy Cotto will make it that much more sweet. The Sergio fight has backlash because Sergio looked like a peg-legged soldier out there.

Ok lets wait and see. But the reports from the media are that its not a true MW. Cant deny that.

Doesn't sound like it, and face it. IF one of your favorite fighters is Cotto, you shouldn't want him to fight GGG.

I never jumped the gun read from the beginning. He could have accepted the fight with Canelo someone closer to his size but his ego came into play as it has many a time in the past. The real fight for him now is GGG he doesnt want it thats been proven as the subject matter is always changed when it's brought into discussion with the Cotto team. If youve become a champ regardless if it's in a division you may be too small for either vacate the title from the start or fight all comers. Cotto is not the only one who does this but either fight or vacate, doesnt mean you fight tomorrow or next week but put it on paper or atleast something on paper. 8 months no fighting is not helping him in anyway especially as he is getting older.

Still showing your lack of comprehension. The title Cotto holds means little on it's own. It means something when combined with the other three major titles in the division. Titles that Cotto has exactly zero chance of ever winning or even competing for as he doesn't have the guts to fight a middleweight. So once GGG gets the WBC title that Cotto holds, he can then continue to work towards his goal of unification by fighting the remaining two title holders.

This will make GGG the undisputed, unified, world middleweight champion. An undisputed title holder is something that few boxing champions can claim as an accomplishment. It is something that neither Pacquaio nor Mayweather can claim in their resume. In fact, there have only been TWO UNDISPUTED, UNIFIED CHAMPIONS who have held all four belts in any division and they are Hopkins and Taylor who defeated Hopkins, both in the middleweight division.

That's it, that's all! TWO! In the entire history of the sport.

I would say that is quite a goal to shoot for. Shame that Cotto will never achieve that level in his own career. Takes real guts to stick it out and to be able to be the one and only champion in a division.

Sergio looked like a one legged freak the same way ALL fighters who get tagged looked. ****, Khan looked like he had 3 bad knees against Danny once that hook caught him.

Sergio looked GREAT running full speed in last 10 seconds of round 6, to try and sucker punch Cotto. Notice too... they CLASHED KNEES in that moment and Sergio was ALL GOOD.

Sergio's temple was damaged. It happens when your opponent is not a chubby pot smoking son of a legend.
