So Vera is a gatekeeper to a world title shot now ? I'm not doubting he may have quality but GGG has proved himself a level above every middle weight right now. Monroe hasn't proved much with a win over Vera.

Whilst I don't disagree, it is a stay busy fight whilst GGG waits for the likes of Jacobs his soon to be mandatory, Quillin if he ever decides he has the cojones, the IBF title winner and potentially Cotto should HBO decide to put the money up to entice the lineal champ to stick around at the weight.

Monroe is a poor selection IMO, although it really is up to credible opposition to step up and/or for HBO to put the money up.

Failing this, GGG should move up and begin calling for the Ward fight, he has called for it before until Ward told him to shut up unless he did in fact want it, evidently GGG went quiet.

HBO needs to make Cotto, Canelo or one of their better fighters at or near 160 fight this dude. Period.

His team needs to stop with this good boy Mexican fan slurping and have him start calling people out forcing fights or go up to 168 alrteady.
This echoes exactly what I believe. If GGG can not get the fights he wants at 160 he needs to move up. This Monroe exercise is a wasted one.

Double standards are annoying....Kovalev has fought Salka type of opponents.
Big Dunn was the one who randomly brought up Salka out of the blue as a way to defend another Haymon fighter. I like Danny Garcia and give him more credit than most but saying that this is on the level of Salka is laughable.

Salka is probably the worst cherry pick I have seen in my entire lifetime. This Willie Munroe guy I've never heard of but at least he's an actual middleweight and is ranked by a few governing bodies in the top 10. It's still a **** fight but it's not SALKA level.

I think it's a tuneup for Andy Lee.

If Dunn said this was on the level of salka vs Garcia then he's severely mistaken

Garcia vs salka was one of the most disgusting pieces of matchmaking I've seen in boxing

GGG's just staying busy while other top Middleweights are unavailable or undoubtedly avoiding the man.

Monroe is going to lose this, but he should make it interesting. Maybe after this Lara or Lee will come. Hopefully he fights Lee next granted Andy KOs Quillin
