Kovalev will fight Pascal this Saturday and Pascal has not been tested at all. Memo has pumped Pascal full of illegal drugs that will make him potentially dangerous for Kovalev. How could Kathy Duva not see this coming?

no, it's a fact, VADA is better, they test exactly the same, except VADA is extremely thorough on all samples, while USADA is only if it's over the T:E ratio

USADA being as large as it is probabley can't afford CIR testing on every sample so they cut back

one of the perks of the smaller VADA

Well I remember when Pascal brought up better Testing he was basically brushed off and MOCKED for doing so. Now that he has Memo now Duva is serious about the testing? Both sides drop the ball, better testing should have been put in the contract and it should be mandatory for BOTH. Now that the fight is closer all of a sudden "TEST IS IMPORTANT"? That looks unorganized and irresponsible by a promoter!

Kathy Duva still doesn't seem aware of what Memo is capable of doing when there is no testing, and Pascal now knows that Kovalev is clean because Duva wanted VADA testing, which is stricter.

It is Kathy Duva's responsibility to protect her fighters but on Saturday Sergey will not be protected because Jean Pascal has used Memo's illegal drugs to enhance his performance. Pascal will be much faster and more powerful than he usually is. Pascal will also be able to take much more punishment than usual.

It might result in a much bloodier affair than was expected, and the losers in the end will be the fighters.

Maybe they were in such a rush to get the fight done that they decided they'd take the risk that he was on something because they figured Kovalev would beat him anyway. Or maybe she's the kind of promoter who doesn't ask whether their fighters are clean but makes no effort to push for better testing because if things are going well now, why even take the slightest risk of it all going up in smoke because of a drug test?

Hard to know what really goes on behind closed doors though. To me it seems like if Momo is involved with Pascal, you should want him tested as much as possible. Pascal probably would've refused VADA though like he eventually did, but it does seem like something I'd want them to at least attempt even if they didn't make it a deal breaker.
