I watched their last fights to try and assess who has the better mobility a few days ago and have to conclude Manny covers distance faster.

covering distance faster does not translate into cutting off the ring properly, maintaining the proper distance to land and defend.

Being aesthetically pleasing doesn't mean its effective and you also have to factor in level of opposition.

Manny flails, lifts his rear leg up everytime he throws a left, and cant fight going back or cut off the ring. Most people on this site don't even know what footwork is or entails
Rios and Algieri were not top shelf opposition let alone even top ten contenders

When these fighters face Pacquiao they just want to get away, they are not even throwing punching.

Floyd can do the same thing, but just like the rest he won't win the rounds running away and trying to survive.

If he throws, He has to halt the running even for a brief seconds allowing Pacquiao to pounce on him.

Floyd is going to try and circle to his left, and Pacquiao will have traps set for him with the right hand.

PAC was ktfo 4 fights ago and has fought 1 top ww in Bradley and 2 unranked guys from lower weights in Rios n algieri, that's not top p4p material

The last time may weather fought an unranked welter was in 09 after an almost 2 year lay off n he absolutely schooled jmm who pac never beat clear... Not once

I'm sure you like Manny as a person but in the ring may weather is superior...both are great but may weather has more skills and fights better comp consistently

The P4P title is given to the best fighter p4p. That fighter is Pacquiao. The guys is a lightweight dominating the welterweight division with ease.


Beating guys like Ortiz Guerrero, Canelo and struggling with Maidana don't get you to that spot.

May weather is 2x lineal champ for a reason...he actually fights the number 1,2,3 guys...Manny fought cotto, clottey, odlh after losses n bad showings... That's not impressive

All the guys you mentioned Floyd fought were coming off career wins not losses

All 4 guys you mentioned were top ten at ww or jmw when he fought them...Bradley can hang with those guys but @ the time Floyd fought them, they'd body alfieri n Rios



Bradley is the only top ten guy Manny has beat since old Mosley

Guess what, he beat maidana clear both times...Manny didn't beat jmm 1x conclusively


May weather adjusts better than Manny who is 2-1 with morales, 2-1-1 with jmm 2-2 in my opinion, and 1-1 with Bradley

Floyd is a defensive genius, that said a lot of fighters fall into throwing similar combo's & Floyd is always ready for that

The shots that surprise Floyd are the unorthodox mauling type, Hatton landed on him early, Cotto landed on him well & Maidana had success


The difference with Pacquaio is that he will continually throw these unorthodox shots, he won't tire & his speed will hurt floyd more than these other fighter were able to. Unlike the other fighters Pac won't be there when Floyd wants to throw back

If Floyd isn't able to control the distance & Pac sets the pace then Floyd's in for a tough night
