  • Comments Thread For: Roach: Pacquiao Has Better Legs, a Bit Faster/Stronger

Manny Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach spoke about the upcoming fight against Floyd Mayweather after watching his pupil, two-time Olympic gold medalist Zou Shiming, lose his first title fight to Amnat Ruenroeng of Thailand on Saturday in Macau.

Roach’s biggest challenge will be when his protégé Manny Pacquiao faces off with Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas on May 2 in a long awaited mega bout.

Mayweather has been getting hit lately, had to clinch in the rematch against Maidana, maybe his legs are a little shot. Who knows.

Amazingly, I don't totally disagree with Roach.

The Floyd who fought a game Mosley would have DANCED AND PARTIED around Maidana's haymakers.

Remember back in the good ol days when Floyd ACTUALLY controlled the center of the ring? Remember when if u forced him to the ropes, he'd counter you and gracefully re-insert himself to the center of the ring?

            not anymore....

I haven't seen Floyd hit clean much lately. He got nailed on the tail end of that telegraphed pull counter that I've been screaming for someone to counter for almost 20yrs. But other than that its been folks hitting a lotta gloves and arms
