Without that meaningless belt Thurman would just be a boxer with 25 wins 0 losses.
meaningless they say!
Great match up?
Broner vs Molina was a great match up? look at the result.
majority of poster here say it is not fix and Molina is just not a goo fighter, washed up etc.. can anyone agree with you that it was a great match up when it was first announced and suddenly look bad after and it was not fix but only that Molina is not really that good? make up your mind people

And stop crying. I know you guys are upset that Broner beat one of your ballsy warriors and made him look like a bum but get over it.

Just don't see how this model will hold up. Superstar fighters will not make the money that Pac, Floyd, even Canelo make currently. PBC would need big time sponsorship deals to make this work, and as much as I love boxing, they won't even get close what the NFL, NCAA and even NBA are getting on thier deals.
Also be interesting to see what kind of fighters the PBC have. Do they have the power to make matchups or are they taking marching orders?
As far as the belts, even as much I hate most of them for the corruptness they do carry a sense of stigma..passed along through decades. Think they'll always be coveted no matter what.

Haymon will make a lot of money & when he's running the show he's essentially controlling the purses.
The bigger the event, the bigger the purse. The bigger the event, the more profit for Haymon.
He will supplement drops in a fighters purse earnings through sponsorships and building the fighter up to become their own brand.
These fighters will be under contract to Haymon so infact their own brand will be similar to a subsidiary of Haymons company
At that point Haymon will run the show & the only way anyone will take him on is in a buy out, they won't be able to compete head to headLast edited by ukbox; 03-08-2015, 09:07 AM.
