Spending? They're wasting money...Just like when they lost 500k for their Madison Square show in Jan.... but they're making money I guess

This Roc Nation needs to start scheduling fights. I'm sick of the hype. They're getting all this publicity without having done anything yet.

As if Arum made money on every card he's put on? That Rigo main event where everyone left was a major success apparently? No. Arum has bombed on fights just like Jay-Z did, now he spent big to more than likely use Cotto's name and put his and their own fighters on the under card. Will it lose money now? Of course, but they can afford to lose short-term because they have a massive bankroll and will make it up with the right star in the future. Besides, if Cotto fights Canelo, GGG or maybe even Floyd (even rematch with Canelo should it be close) they'll make a lot of it back.

No way he spent anywhere near Bob ever would on anybody for these two. Roc doesn't even have their own stable... at best they'll be building up Cotto's fighters.

They better hope they put up a good PPV fight in June or it's a bomb off the bat...and it's a uphill climb from there because it's a month after Pac/Mayweather and people would've already been tapped out from that. If Cotto's opponent is one nobody wants to see, it'll bomb so bad and blow up in their faces

Most of the people criticizing Cotto for using his dad and going back on his word know for a damn fact they would wipe their ass with their dad's death certificate too for 50 million stop bull****ting.

Agreed , he will go something like :
first fight - > small WW like bradely/rios hoping he can stay with WBC belt.
then he will draw out as long as possible trying to land Pac/Floyd/Canelo until WBC forces him to vacate.
second fight -> one of the big 3.
3rd fight -> if he wins the second fight , sky is the limit , he can fight whoever probably for a MEGA fight.

he will not face GGG , and will not defend against a real MW.
truth be told , i like this game plan if only he would just vacate sooner rather then later so MW can progress.

Lose money now, get more money later... Roc Nation Sports & Cotto Promotions can have fighters on their undercards and what not... get exposure for them and it can pay off in the long run.
