No need to rush things, especially with the money apparently already in hand.

Ward in April, Cotto in June (hope that having those two under your umbrella opens up a path to HBO, or at least expanding that FS1 deal) and then two more shows, a show each, with Ward and Cotto. Showcase Dusty Hernandez (and their other fighters) on at least those four shows, and then hope to cash in on some of the top prospects.

But when is the April show? All there's been talk of is rumors and still no movement and we're about a month away. I don't even think they can find a network to put it on yet.

There's no need to rush things, but they're spending more time trying to steal than sign people. I thought they'd start signing prospects up after the first one....but nope.

Haymon does have an easier time though since he's an "adviser/manager" and just steals people right under the promoter

i support cotto's decision through all of this.

his time in the boxing ring is short and he wants to make sure he makes enough so that he and his family can live happy after he retires.

His fights are probably Khan, Canelo, and GGG. Any of those could also be rematches. From that perspective, the money seems about right. Especially if he only gets the guarantees and a smaller portion of the ppv revenue. Cotto would concede the larger portion to RN as he is getting help on the other end for his charity and Cotto Promotions events. It all makes sense for a good mutual business relationship.
