So who do they expect to cover these ridiculous gurantees? Its gotta be Roc Nation, nobody else will. So why is Ward going around pitching these tuneups and getting rejected?

For 50 million Cotto would not only **** on his dad's grave, but would also wipe his ass with the death certificate. That's why you get those little things called contracts.

50 million for 3 fights? Considering Cotto is middleweight champ I think it seems a bit ****** to set the bar for arguably the highpoint in your career. Then again I'd say it was a calculated business move. Cotto is worth about 16.6 million right now for one fight. I guess he is assuming that he has climaxed and the chance of him raising his stock is not likely, now being a middleweight. Something tells me this may be like a showtime+Mayweather type of plan. Roc nation wants to establish a ATG fighter as their framework so if things get worst after Cotto, they won't necessarily fade into oblivion. Also it will be interesting to see where Cotto's power ranger stable goes from here. Maybe Roc nation will be a "PC" media outlet promoting ***** fighters.

At any rate, that's 16.6 million per fight. That Canelo money is starting to look like chump change all of a sudden.

The likely scenario is him being overpayed for tuneups for the few fights he has left, Haymon style. If that is in fact the case I can't say I'm not disappointed, but I can't be mad at him either. Seriously, who here hates money?
I am sure they are paying him well, but I seriously doubt if it is this much.

hmmmmmmm, so it looks like Cotto is getting paid 16.6 million to fight 42 yr old K9 bundrage, somethings not adding up here. JayZ should be pushing his ass to take big fights if he even wants to break even. But when you got money like that, it doesnt even matter.

Maybe they're hoping these big shows can attract people to their prospects....but they're blowing way more money than Haymon is and they don't even have a stable yet....

If Roc Nation is paying them that much for guarantee, they obviously don't care about spending money to somehow make money...so kind of surprised if they're trying to make HBO or Sho pay

I'm at least glad K9 is getting a shot. Guy is a class act and probably rehydrates more then Cotto.

Damn, in all honesty I can't blame Cotto for taking the deal. I'm sure Roc Nation will sign Rigo next and build around him, Ward and Cotto. As for Cotto's next fight, I hope it's GGG but if not then I'm assuming the winner of Rosado vs. Stevens in BKB.
