How they gonna make that kind of money doe? I mean unless cotto fights mayweather, pac and canelo with a 50% split in those 3 fights I fail to see how they can pay him that much against anyone else. Does not make any sense to me.

That's roughly $17M a fight. He didn't even earn close to that against mayweather.

That's great money, good for him.

I'm sure Roc Nation is going to want a bigger fight than K9 on the 2nd and 3rd fight, biggest obviously is the ginger is the biggest fight. Mayweather and Pacquiao probably gonna rematch and even if Floyd wins no rematch al Haymon Jay Z probably not gonna work together. So who does that leave? G.G.G

Roc Nation are giving Ward and Cotto deals like they're football or basketball players, this is boxing this is where the inexperience showing from Roc Nation. In boxing all it takes is one bad loss and it's back to the drawing board.

If that is accurate that's a great deal because Cotto probably isn't worth that much per fight. I can see why Cotto would jump on that deal no matter what promises he may have made to top rank. Canelo would have paid him 10.5 million which is much less than this deal per fight.

Except the Pacquiao fight will more than make up for the shortcomings of the other fights. They are no longer worried about the money they lost, they just hit the jackpot with this fight.

I think their strategy is to spend big to build their stable, basically doing whatever it takes to bring big names. They are looking long term, so these huge deals their gonna lose money on short term, but apparently they're willing to do that in order to grow. It can work, but it's going to be difficult with 150+ fighters and growing signed with Haymon.

The 10 mil deal with Canelo probably had some PPV upside but this is crazy if this is guaranteed.

Clearly Roc Nation believes that overpaying for fighters is the way to go to get everyone to take notice similar to what Haymon is doing losing money up front with idea it'll payoff in the long run.

If true then roc nation will be short lived in the fight game, much like the affliction promotion in mma

Well I hope Roc pushes Cotto to fight challenging fights for all that money.
