I doubt it that they knew Mays fights won't crack a mil PPV buy that's why they bought him from HBO. Al is a good businessman, everyone knows this. He have that business savvy that when he talks people listen. So it doesnt surprise me at all if Al sweet talk Espinoza to give that deal to May promising him for a big profits.

Bottom line is Moonves stepped in, and made the fight happen. I'm so excited.

It's funny. But Moonves wasn't even that interested in the fight originally, because he did not want to do business ever again with Bob Arum. Freddie Roach is the one who got the ball rolling, he got Moonves and Arum to have a sitdown in a slick way and they squashed their beef.

So basically if you're going to start thanking anyone, you should probably start with Freddie Roach.

When you get to the point where one offer is $240 million, and the other is $250 million (and these arent the figures, just hypothetical). It's not so much the money at that point. There's other factors. A few heads rolled at HBO, got fired, after they lost Mayweather.
Greenburg's head got rolled at HBO when they lost Pacquiao.

I read an article that Dan Rafael wrote on ESPN, when you have a chance check it out it'll say how the deal was made and who was the driving force behind it.

Actually it was the waiter that regularly serves Les that got it started. His son is being trained by Freddie and he ask Les if it's ok for him to meet up with Roach. It's all in that article that Rafael wrote, check it out, very interesting.

No wonder he always thanks Al Haymon.

Floyd is getting desperate, first hiring Memo and Ariza to get PEDed up now stopping Pacquiao from sparing, then get The Protector Bayless to ref.

If Floyd can't win fair he will unfairly.

The of all the advantages Floyd has got by being sneaky and underhanded.

I hope Pacquiao retires him. He will if Bayless doesn't warn Pacquiao when he lands clean.

Thanks, I'm going to look up that article.

Why worry about Floyds contract now? The Manny fight will probably make enough profit to cover the lost millions and then some.

To OP: that's BS if true about blocking partners with more cash, but it also sounds like Freddy talking ish. Haha whatever!

With Floyd every fight there is something. Maidana had the gloves issue. Floyd cried until he got Kenny STOP STOP Bayless. The judge who scored the first fight and gave Floyd the win judged the second fight too!

With Floyd and company making so much money for this fight alone they can put lots of pressure on key personnel! Sad for sure
