The only way I would see another Mora fight is if triple G is fighting him so he can end his career
The HBO GGG opponent list for May

Thing about fighting Heiland, Monroe, or Johnson in May, is that he'll likely have to fight the other two later in the year.
Don't expect Golovkin to get unification fights with the IBF/WBO this year. GB won't rush Lemieux in this year, and Lee has to beat Quillin, then Saunders, and it's still not clear if Haymon has an option on Andy.
I'd like to see HBO try and get Andrade, Lara, or Hopkins (@170) for May.
There are little to no options at 168. Everyone's tied up except Maderna, Medina, and Perriban - and Ward's been trying to fight those guys.Comment

Put Golovkin on the PBC roster and watch his paper thin resume get shredded daily on hereThe thing is no one else gets passes for blah fights, why do people have to give Golovkin a pass. I wish people would give out more passes to fighter to be honest but they don't so why should golovkin get any kind of special treatment on here?
He ain't really earned anything in the sport, way more accomplished fighters get dogged for fighting higher quality guys. If Golovkin is the fighter everyone says he is he should be held at that standard, right?

More with resume than anything. I mean what's the most you can say about the three guys leading up to the fight in May? Nothing much reallyI just don't know that that would do anything, and who would have been in Monaco for the fight w/o the Brits there.
What is the difference really between Martin Murray and Tureano Johnson to the general American boxing public both would pretty much end up that guy Golovkin thrashed.
I don't like to really dog Golovkin, because I don't know exactly what he should do usually it is pretty clear which path a guy should take but with Golovkin I don't think it is because it is not like 168 is a super hot division or has an easy money marking option at the top (Canelo is still probably his best option to get a big fight also). However, I don't think he should skate around freely either when I see the criticism leveled at other top end fighters. Either context of a situation is important or it isn't.Comment

I think you are being very generous to half his fights. He fights 1 or 2 good fights a year, just like the best. The difference is those aren't his only fights in a year, and no one can possibly fight 3 or 4 good fights a year. The sport isn't structured to allow that anymore. So he's inevitably going to have fights which aren't so good. Those few world class fighters who fight often all have these fights.
To me decent does not equal good and doesn't offset blah. Decent is blah of a slightly more positive nature.
His control over the situation is not great that can not be denied, and it is not like he is choosing the bottom name from the available list but the lists of names are never that impressive.
Acceptable is just that acceptable, I don't really get excited at all when it comes to fighters I am jaded as hell for someone in their mid 30's so guys need to show me something I don't expect to see. When I see Golovkin I see the possibility of excellence, but to see true excellence you have to see very quality fights (not necessarily great though that helps but guys that are on the cusp of greatness work fine showing the difference between true greatness and fake greatness).Comment

Yea that is a step down, one of my thing is I like to see guys go in a positive opposition direction. If you fight someone totally undeserving at least fight someone decent next, if you fight someone decent then fight someone good, if you fight someone good fight someone better. There comes a point when that gets to be impossible, but then you start the cycle again (hopefully). The way you wanted it fits in with that setup way better because you could at least say Murray was better than the last guy.
He has been meandering back and forth, when he needs to find some rapids to get on to truly test his mettle.Comment

Absolutely. They wouldn't be talking about who won't fight him, they'd be on him to step up and make better fights.
That said, I just think GGG needs a new plan. How much longer is he gonna play the wait for Cotto game? He absolutely should be fighting Cotto in MSG on PR day weekend. But he doesn't look like he is going to get that.
I think he needs to go after a Canelo fight.Comment

It's been half a year. He's the mandatory. He'll either get Cotto this year or he'll fight someone else for Cotto's belt. Why on earth should he abandon that when he just freaking earned that mandatory spot a few months ago? And he is going after the Alvarez fight. He's gone after a lot of fights people want to see from him, and had little interest shown in him.Absolutely. They wouldn't be talking about who won't fight him, they'd be on him to step up and make better fights.
