The IBF and WBO lists are a complete joke.

Monroe is not ready, and Johnson has already shown that he isn't good enough imo. I'm not thrilled at all tbh, but this is what was bound to happen if other titlists aren't on the table.

GGG is wasting his career IMO. Everyone knows nobody at 160 is a threat besides Lara moving up and he would probably win that fight too. GGG is just cruising through making easy money when everyone knows the real threats are at 168.

This is what happens when you fight 3-4 times a year. It's been the pattern since he hit the networks: he gets a good fight, he gets a blah fight against someone ranked. Good, blah, good, blah. I'd rather he do that than sit around waiting for good fights that don't happen like half the sport does.

That's the point everyone who criticizes Golovkin doesn't understand. Everyone but the absolute top of the sport fights these blah fights, but most of them do so as their only fight or two of the year while they sit around wasting their time waiting for money.

The thing is no one else gets passes for blah fights, why do people have to give Golovkin a pass. I wish people would give out more passes to fighter to be honest but they don't so why should golovkin get any kind of special treatment on here?

He ain't really earned anything in the sport, way more accomplished fighters get dogged for fighting higher quality guys. If Golovkin is the fighter everyone says he is he should be held at that standard, right?

Of those 3 fights they're all pretty shit and not really worth being on HBO. I would've preferred a swap with Murray in the U.S and those guys in Monaco.

He fights 1 or 2 good fights a year, just like the best. The difference is those aren't his only fights in a year, and no one can possibly fight 3 or 4 good fights a year. The sport isn't structured to allow that anymore. So he's inevitably going to have fights which aren't so good. Those few world class fighters who fight often all have these fights.

This drives people crazy because they aren't used to boxers being active. They would rather see their favorite fighter only fight once or twice a year. Sad.

I just don't know that that would do anything, and who would have been in Monaco for the fight w/o the Brits there.

What is the difference really between Martin Murray and Tureano Johnson to the general American boxing public both would pretty much end up that guy Golovkin thrashed.

I don't like to really dog Golovkin, because I don't know exactly what he should do usually it is pretty clear which path a guy should take but with Golovkin I don't think it is because it is not like 168 is a super hot division or has an easy money marking option at the top (Canelo is still probably his best option to get a big fight also). However, I don't think he should skate around freely either when I see the criticism leveled at other top end fighters. Either context of a situation is important or it isn't.
