Comments Thread For: Viloria's Manager: Pacquiao Will Dominate Mayweather

Speaking with the Philippine Star, veteran manager Gary Gittelsohn made a bold prediction - that Manny Pacquiao will dominate Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and walk away that night with the WBC/WBA/WBO welterweight titles around his waist.

These are the exact thoughts I had years ago when this fight should of been made. Can Manny continue the high workrate as he seems to have lost in his last few fights? Remains to be seen if he can go back to basics...

Pacquiaos work rate will be key along with his foot speed.

It's possible if Manny regularly beats him to the punch, I'd be worried for the mental health of posters on here if he did dominate Floyd though, most Floyd fans haven't even fathomed the possibility of Floyd losing.

Pacquaio looked like he had a high workrate in his last few fights to me.

If I was Manny and had the abilities that Manny has I would focus more of throwing quick punches in bunches and overwhelm Mayweather instead trying to knock him out.

Only if Mayweather try to walk him down should he focus on power shots. Mayweather isn't so accurate when he's coming forward and Manny should be able to easily get off and evade Floyds shots.

I Also feel the Las Vegas judges are getting tired of Mayweather, in the last fight with Maidana he only won by a round difference on two of the scorecards.

Manny will try to swarm Floyd the way El Chino did. Trying to play sharpshooter with Floyd will only work in Floyd's favor.

Will be interesting to see which sparring partners Manny has chosen to imitate Floyd's defensive skills and speed, and what plans Freddie has to neutralize Floyd's speed and ring smarts.

                  Team Pacquiao has limited options.

Other than Ortiz, who else suffered an early KO loss to Floyd recently? LOL
