Comments Thread For: Golovkin's Manager: Andre Ward More Realistic in 2016

Ward first would be to come out of retirement, get his situation sorted, get a tuneup or 2 before a big fight like this so it was out of the question this year in the first place.Comment

A fight with Ward at 168 needs to be promoted, but a fight with Froch does not. Odd
If you read between the lines, what GGG's manager is actually saying is "HBO will only pay GGG to fight two or, at most, three more stiffs before they demand a fight with fight Ward."
Carl's last fight was in front of 80,000 people.
Andre's last fight was in front of 4,158 people.Comment

Ward fighting Lara would be the equivalent of Floyd vs Marquez...a guy 2 weight classes below but someone that has talent.. Then he can make it at 164 and just miss weight anyway lol...
People would kill Ward for taking this fight wouldn't they? But Floyd gets all kind of credit for the Marquez win at the same time... Weird..
You mean Floyd/Marquez is the equivalent of duran/Leonard 1.
Duran went from lightweight too welterweight just like Marquez did. Only difference is duran won and Marquez lossComment
