You need to back him up. Someone bigger and who can punch a little will give him serious problems. Golovkin can't fight going backwards

Yeah, someone with the strength, size, and skill of Andre Ward that can make him miss, tie him up, and push him back. That or a puncher who has the power to make Golovkin wary and keep him tentative.

I had it Murray 3-0 after 3 rounds. He just never threw with conviction to hurt Golovkin.
I had it equal after 4, then Golovkin took it from there.

You're the second person I've seen say Murray won the 3rd round, which is ridiculous. Golovkin clearly won the 3rd.

Just thinking about some of the threads floating about and who is proposed. If the guy can't hurt him, he doesn't care he'll walk him down. If he can hurt him he still needs to be able to outbox him and be more durable. People imagine Floyd, Floyd can't hurt him, he'll walk through him. Cotto isn't nearly durable enough, he'll be wishing for plaster. I don't see anyone 160 or lower who has a chance. That's why 168 and specifically Ward gets thrown into the discussion. It takes a bigger guy who can crack him with better skills to have a chance.

It takes size, strength, some pop and a boxing brain.

Murray had limited success against GGG, one of the major factors in that success was his size but his tactics were terrible...going up against the ropes and letting a puncher like GGG unload on you? Oliver really let Murray down last night.

Nobody is beating him at 154 or 160. He would also have a great chance to beat anyone at 168.

You can't run as he cuts the ring off beautifully, you can't afford to exchange as he will flatten you....basically, you're going to have to clinch and make it as boring as possible, AKA try to do an Andre Ward.
