Canelo wanted an opponent and didn't want to wait around. It seemed everyone had no issue with this until Floyd/Pac being announced. I don't know what Cotto was and Is doing. It seems like he was waiting for Floyd. You guys act like Cotto/Canelo can't happen in September or something. So relax.

You could argue that one of the reasons Floyd finally fought Pac is because Canelo was going to take his date if he didn't. Canelo and Oscar maintained the only thing that would affect their plans is if Pac/Manny happened for obvious reasons. They, and many people up until this week, doubted Floyd would ever take the fight so they made their move. Starting next year Canelo will fight on May 2 for the next decade, you can believe that.
