Lol well When you gone fight over there Canelo??

    Translation:

I find your post quite entertaining, in fact it paints a wide smile across my face and produces a slight chuckle(at best). Are you upset over the circumstances at hand?

I will now give you the best "Canelo" impersonation I could muster, to display how idiotic his comments sound:

"I fight to defend my country's honor..."

You see, I find it quite comedic since Canelo seems to be reluctant to fight in his native country of Mexico. If he is so proud and willing to defend his country's honor, why doesn't he stage his upcoming fights there?

I'm gone charge u necks tym bruh, beta getcha act twogether.

Yeah, it's getting a little nauseating.

You actually made a salient point about them fighting in June. That said, odh is trying to make canelo a star so you know that wasn't going to happen.

        Maybe canelo surprises us.

obviously the may 2 date stipulation was if floyd/manny didn't happen

so you basically have canelo to thank for forcing that fight to take place
I'm guessing these people knocking Canelo must have really hated it when Cotto fought at Yankee Stadium.

Yeah, HBO should do massive ratings for that telecast, even if both HBO and SHO are showing replays.

Cotto could be fighting Canelo... Cotto isn't the guy who signed to fight another guy first. Canelo can't do **** now, he's bound by a contract... Who Cotto fights is irrelevant because Canelo **** his pants when he found out he'd probably have to go to NY in June because he knows he isn't booting Floyd off of any date.

He might want to go up against Mayweather and prove he's a better draw, Cotto doesn't have to because Canelo has something against him. Cotto is a man and would prefer to beat Mayweather in the ring, not in the ratings. Canelo seems to think ratings is all that matters and not what you actually do in the ring. Or he's too ****** to realize that what you do in the ring affects your buys... People spent $75 to see him beat Floyd, or at least hit him. That didn't happen so people aren't going to spend their money again on him and it's showing.

As a fan I honestly don't give two shits about the political aspect of any boxing match, really... but the statement I bolded is alarming. Whomever Cotto fights is very relevant in the sport of boxing, especially since he is the "Top" Middleweight. If you simply disregard his upcoming opposition based on Canelo "missing out" on the Cotto fight, I honestly don't know what to tell you.

Canelo may have missed out but he isn't the only legitimate name Cotto could defend his belt against. Especially with the plethora of Middleweight fighters and quite a few SWW challengers whom would love to take a crack at the man of the hour. Seriously... Whomever Cotto fights next should be an extremely relevant subject to any fan of the MW division. How ridiculous would it be if he ended up defending his strap against the likes of Rios or Bradley? Would it still be "irrelevant" since you know, Canelo missed out?

It seems to me you're trying to gently shift the tables against Alvarez and his fans by pinning Cotto's potential shortcomings(if he decides to make a mockery of his title in his first defense) on a missed deal. Goodluck with that

Seems like a good old fashion promotion backfire. Canelo could of waited 4 more weeks to get a Cotto fight in a bigger better venue @MSG with a larger paycheck but nooooo he was so instigated on robbing the Cinco de Mayo date and now he's forced to change date and venue the loss is his not Cotto.
