Cotto had no business at Middleweight and has always said it was never set in stone that his next fight would be at Middleweight or back at 154, people just started making ****** assumptions about his next move. Anthony Dirrell, Arthur Abraham, James DeGale, George Groves, Sakio Bika, are all active fighters at 168 who GGG can fight if he moves up to 168. After he beats one of them, then he catches the attention of the even bigger names like Ward, Froch, Kessler.

The one thing i cant grasp with how you reply in threads is the fact that you obviously know a lot of boxing and are following the sport , but then you write things like - he will need to get the attention of : kessler - retired , Froch - said in an interview he wont fight GGG and wants a Chavez fight @ vegas and then retire (so even if GGG goes up and fights others by then Froch will hang them) and Ward - which is a great fight which im sure will happen , but for 1 figther (and dont say that going up for Bika is worth the hassle , he better off staying at MW) , so for 1 figther you dont need to go up in weight prior to the fight , if Ward and GGG signs the contract he will go up for the fight , but you suggesting he needs to earn is stripes in 168 to maybe fight Ward is lame.
i think he will campaign in 168 once he gets the lineal and the winner of lee/PQ (which means going up for a big fight) , if he doesnt go up by then i will come here and say he is avoiding the real comp around his weight class.

they knock cotto for holding the MW lineal title hostage thats all , no one will knock cotto when he vacates and fights Bradly , why cant you guys see the travesty of the situation ?
we want the best to fight the best , and for that we need the best to have belts and fight their mandatory once in a while , the most coveted MW title being handover between smaller man because one was able to grab it from a cripple isnt OK , and thats why ppl frown upon it , imagine bradly winning , and then defending against another 147 , all the while not even looking towards real MW who fight at this weight class all their lives hoping for a chance at world title , if you cant see the issue , no one can help you....
imagine Wlad vacating and some CW taking the HW title , then he never defends against other HW and only fights CW , wouldnt you say its bad for boxing ? we have weight class for a reason , he made a good win took a big prize , now its time to give it back if he cant defend it.

Mayorga was RECENTLY being considered an option for Canelo.
Cotto has already said he would fight Chavez Jr. (From Arums lips)
