    Agreed.

Cotto won't go into the hall of fame if he avoids Golovkin. Boxing historians are not kind to blatant duckers.

Max Herman interview, he doubts Cotto fight ever happens, says they're aiming for the winner of Lee/Quillin (but doesn't mention that the winner has to face Saunders in July). He goes on to say they'll go to the UK for Froch or Lee and feels Ward will happen in 2016.
      No surprise there with BJS.

Unless he has some kind of contract that says the winner has to fight him even if there is unification, then meh.

Also lol, fight a WW and then for a belt that was thrown away?

      That's cool

I need someone to explain to me how Cotto is ducking Golovkin...
Cotto just won his middleweight title last June, it hasn't even been a year.
Cotto hasn't even defended the title yet. Cotto was granted a voluntary defense,
I expect him to use that and then face Golovkin barring some highly lucrative fight
Like Mayweather presents itself. Can we hold the ducking threads for fighters who
Are actually blatantly ducking another fighter. Cotto fights once at middleweight and he's
        Already ducking GGG. SMH. #LAMEASSBOXINGFANS

I understand them wanting it, but it's not a fight that should ever happen. Golovkin plain beats the **** out of him.

Cotto is a ducker, just like Floyd. He was afraid of Rubio for crying out loud but fought Foreman, a rabbi, Mayorga way past his prime, and Rodriguez, an average fighter. Margarito took his soul and is hiding from Canelo.

Abel Sanchez is desperate and people are forgetting Cotto was never even a natural 154lb fighter.
And people knock Cotto for considering Bradley who's closer to his size. But they dont have a problem with GGG fighting a smaller Cotto. The bias is strong.

The one thing i cant grasp with how you reply in threads is the fact that you obviously know a lot of boxing and are following the sport , but then you write things like - he will need to get the attention of : kessler - retired , Froch - said in an interview he wont fight GGG and wants a Chavez fight @ vegas and then retire (so even if GGG goes up and fights others by then Froch will hang them) and Ward - which is a great fight which im sure will happen , but for 1 figther (and dont say that going up for Bika is worth the hassle , he better off staying at MW) , so for 1 figther you dont need to go up in weight prior to the fight , if Ward and GGG signs the contract he will go up for the fight , but you suggesting he needs to earn is stripes in 168 to maybe fight Ward is lame.
i think he will campaign in 168 once he gets the lineal and the winner of lee/PQ (which means going up for a big fight) , if he doesnt go up by then i will come here and say he is avoiding the real comp around his weight class.

they knock cotto for holding the MW lineal title hostage thats all , no one will knock cotto when he vacates and fights Bradly , why cant you guys see the travesty of the situation ?
we want the best to fight the best , and for that we need the best to have belts and fight their mandatory once in a while , the most coveted MW title being handover between smaller man because one was able to grab it from a cripple isnt OK , and thats why ppl frown upon it , imagine bradly winning , and then defending against another 147 , all the while not even looking towards real MW who fight at this weight class all their lives hoping for a chance at world title , if you cant see the issue , no one can help you....
imagine Wlad vacating and some CW taking the HW title , then he never defends against other HW and only fights CW , wouldnt you say its bad for boxing ? we have weight class for a reason , he made a good win took a big prize , now its time to give it back if he cant defend it.

Foreman was undefeated and a champion at the weight.
Mayorga was RECENTLY being considered an option for Canelo.
Cotto has already said he would fight Chavez Jr. (From Arums lips)
Rodriguez... A tune up after a loss... OK

Canelo fought... Baldomir, josesito Lopez, Love more Ndou in 2010 (Cotto beat that guy in 2004), Alfonso Gomez in 2011 (Cotto knocked that guy out in 2008)
Canelo won his JMW title from a welterweight SMH...

Don't get me started on Chavez resume.....

Margaritos took Cottos soul? People forget that Margaritos ***** ass turned down a fight with Cotto in 2007.... Cotto has actually accepted a fight with Margarito 3 times Lol

Cotto is the last guy any true boxing fan should **** on....

All this ducking talk is extremely premature... Dude won his title less than a year ago.
