I had heard about Mayweather before but the first fight I really watched properly was the De La Hoya fight. I've been a fan of Floyd ever since.

I heard Roger Mayweather had a nephew he looked like he had great potential.

First fight I saw was one of bus early pro bouts, can't remeber which one.

Olympics and watched all of his early career from his pro debut. Such a shame that(from a real fans perspective..I'm not proud of his earnings) he structured his career the way he did. He just lacks balls, thats what it comes down to. He reminds me a bit of Holyfield, only with misniscule balls by comparison.

The funniest thing is that I used to look out for Roger's fights. I remember ITV showing his fight with Harold Brazier(to this day one of my favourite fights to watch) when I was about 14. Despite being chinny as fook, Roger had a fighters heart. Good times!

I realized how good Mayweather was when he beat up my favourite fighter (at that time) Phillip N'Dou (who was an up and coming prospect out of South Africa). The ease with which Mayweather won and the way he made a good fighter look bad was amazing. Phillip N'Dou was never the same after that fight - his confidence took as big a beating as he did physically.
That was a long time ago.
