Comments Thread For: David Lemieux: I'd Love To Fight Gennady Golovkin!

Dangerous middleweight contender David Lemieux (33-2, 31KOs) of Canada is ready to face WBA/IBO/WBC-interim middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (31-0, 28KOs), sooner than later - if the Kazakhstan puncher is the most lucrative option on the table.

Lemieux recently made his HBO debut last December with a battering of tough Gabe Rosado. Golovkin has a long term deal with HBO and a showdown with Lemieux seems inevitable if the two boxers continue to win.

"if the Kazakhstan puncher is the most lucrative option on the table." I can understand Lemieux's desire for a big payday, but if he were to fight and defeat GGG, then the big paydays (plural) will be his. So, David, take the fight regardless of it being the most lucrative offer on the table, win the title, and then be the A side from that point on.

The Canadian gate money at the Bell Centre (Montreal) would be just great...
In fact Lemieux would draw the public for a Golovkin fight... The Canadians are actually exuberant with their boxing stars.

Only 2 money fights bigger are Cotto and canelo.... and I doubt he gets either.

Plus I'm sure he's willing to go to Canada

If he beats N'Dam for the IBF, we could see it... but if he wins the IBF... I think the chances of that happening is lowered
