Haymon be turnin fighters into ******. He did it in the music industry til Jay Z put the run on him. I'd say Al is the reason Roc Nation went after Broner.
    ****** don't get paid.

Again, even if this was true which I seriously doubt, fighters are not forced to sign with Haymon. Don't sign with him and then use him as an excuse for ducking.

If Santa Cruz wanted this fight it would have been made.

We need to keep making threads like these. Post cherries and call fighters ducks and cowards. Social media is how most ppl communicate or try to convey how they feel about an artist/musician/athlete etc. til this day Danny Garcia still gets LOTS of cherries and duck comments/arguments between fans from that Salka debacle. He still deserves it and I'm glad he hasn't been able to shake that off so easily. Social Media is good because you can more or less gage the taste that person leaves in their followers mouths. We can't we forget that WE make them famous.

Keep shytting on boxers who constantly look for the easy way out but reap the rewards others deserve. it's the good fight!

Haymon will put a guy like Edwin in with anybody, as long as the money is right, because Al gets his cut, remember.
Exactly. Plus Rodriguez made a career payday being a punching bag for Ward.

Fighters have the final say when it comes to who they fight. If Santa Cruz wanted this fight Haymon could not stop it. He doesn't work for Haymon. Who do you think gets the biggest portion of the checks?

There are no two ways about that.
Of course fighters have the ability to sign with the manager of their choice. However, once they sign with Al Haymon they are OBLIGATED to the conditions within the contract. And in those contracts is the ability for Haymon to refuse any fight for his fighters. That's different than a fighter not wanting to fight. They could try and go against haymon, but they would just be in breach and subject to protracted litigation like Ward, Garcia, Gamboa, etc.

Also, it doesn't matter who gets more of the checks or who works for who. Like you said, fighters have the freedom to contract as they please. If they sign with Haymon, then this is a part of the deal. It's the same reason Quillin had to vacate his title. Haymon has the contractual right to refuse any fight.

No one believes you anymore Leo.

Its funny because when I first saw Leo Santa Cruz I thought he had a promising and exciting future. But he's just been disappointing boxing fans by fighting his ****ing sparring partners for title defenses.

Yeah, anyone can taunt an animal behind the bars of a cage when they don't have to get into the cage.......that's LSC. Not a good look with LSC being told no and then having the nerve to say what he would do to a guy he doesn't have to fight. He should have just shut up.

Boxers know what they're signing before they sign a contract. Have you actually seen the contracts to make this claim? If not you're just throwing your own speculation out there with no evidence.

If Santa Cruz legitimately wanted the fight he wouldn't sign with the guy who will block it. Or demand 3 million. That's complete BS. Anybody who believes that is naive or just plain ******.

The same with Quillin. It was his choice to vacate the title. He wasn't forced by Haymon. That's BS as well.

Yes it DOES matter who works for who. A manager is in no way an excuse to avoid a fight. A promoter? Yes. A manager? No way.

This looo-zurrr sounds like the little kid hiding behind his big friend talking big at his foe. Wadda huge pile of b.s. This lameoid will probably never fight Rigo if there's any possible way out of it.

Of course I have not seen the contract, have you? That argument works both ways, bruv. You not seeing the contract doesn't refute what I am saying either. Moreover, there has been a plethora of circumstantial evidence from boxers and reports of haymon effectively blocking fights (see quillin vacating).

Why wouldn't he sign with him? Haymon's roster is significantly larger than GBP and TR and his fighters receive generous compensation. LSC receives close to 7 figures every fight to fight sparring partners and bums.

I am not making excuses for LSC. I am just pointing out the fact that these fighters are under oppressive contracts.

Now would be a good time for Al Haymon to go public. Just say "Actually, I'm cool with the fight. Sign da ting Santa."
