Now all the 'Fraud Gayweather" 'Duck Quack', etc. will turn into......"he didn't dare to fight Pacquiao until after Marquez. If he wasn't so scared in 2009, Manny would have killed him"........when FREDDIE ROACH of all people, admitted they prevented the fight from happening then..........$100 mil for Pac if it happens then.......nulled over a couple vials of blood because he was 'scared of needles'......

Then it will be "But Pacquiao had to wear Grant Gloves"..........he wear Whining in training......I'm sure Floyd would be of with a glove Manny is used to.

Horse hair may be legal. But in the negotiation, when you have the leverage as Mayweather does, you request things like blood testing that he is also doing, and both wearing the same gloves. That way nobody has an advantage......

Floyd had to wear Reyes vs ODLH........

What I believe and what most Pac fans have yet to grasp, the KO was THE BEST thing that could have happened to Pac. I think the more pre-Marquez KO version of Pac, that often got out of position by being overly aggressive, would have been picked clean.........now that he's more in control and his defense has gotten much better, if he keeps up his punch volume, it'll be harder for Floyd to time him and find shots. He could end up winning with the crowd on his side, and last minute 6-8 shot combos ala Leonard vs Hagler.........where Manny could really steal the fight despite being pretty ineffective.

Mayweather didn't look good in the two Maidana fights. But when he chose, he was still able to control space and walk Maidana down pretty much whenever he chose........he just didin't do it enough......

Pac has a better chance now than he did if it had happened in March or May of 2010, he'd have been frustrated quickly, been way out of balance and despite not being a one-punch KO guy, with the exception of Mosley, most say that Floyd's power is so accurate that it's actually a bit harder......which in 2010 could have put him on his ass similar to the way Marquez did in round 3 of their first fight............caugth off balance by a pull counter or check-hook.

I still believe Mayweather is rightfully the favorite. I think it's more like 3-2 rather than 3-1.......but he will likely still win. But nobody is getting KO'd and this will be a tough first six rounds and then Floyd starts controlling space and Manny starts getting desperate........

But the judging could go either way..........if Pac wins, then he can ask for the 60/40 and Reyes.........but since Pac fans think he's sooooo much better, that shouldn't matter. The gloves weight the same, one has foam, the other horsehair which can be manipulated prior to the fight. (Picture Tyson making his entrance trying to get his knuckles as close to the outer glove as possible).

I have used Grant, Reyes, Everlast and Rival. Reyes and Everlast MX feel like bricks compared to the padded gloves. Part was the age of the gloves at the gym.........but the horsehair is just so much stiffer.......

But power won't be much an issue unless Pac gets smart and goes for the top of the head and gets a temple shot in. But I've heard from some pretty reliable sources that it should be announced during the NBA All-Star break........with a 4 city promo tour, leaving 11 weeks until the fight....plenty of time for a fight that will need very litle marketing...........

If it's made, good for them. Particularly the fighters. Nice to see Arum was finally shut up, mostly by his own people, so the fight could get done.......

But still............I'll believe it when I hear the announcement............

Pacquiao had already beaten Marquez twice before, and again got robbed out of a win in their first fight due to an error on the judges scorecard, which even the judge admitted he made a mistake and Pacquiao should have won. So lets call it Pacquiao had already beaten Marquez 3 times because he did. Also there was a lot of controversy surrounding that fight because Marquez had convicted PED dealer Angel Heredia to work as his strength and conditioning coach. Even Victor Conte who is an expert at PEDS said Marquez was on them. Pacquiao hasn't lost a legitimate fight in the last 10 years, and has made legends quit on their stool, or beg not to come out for the next round. Erik Morales famously shook his head no after another Pacquio knockdown. Barreras corner had to step in and stop the beat down. Chris Algieri was knocked down 6 times. Algieri runs more and had a lot more length to him than Mayweather does. I think Pacquiao is going to school Mayweather. I don't think its going to be close at all. #fight pacquiao #war arum # Floydcott
I understand everything you are saying and for my two cents, opting out of that instant rematch with Bradley was a mistake and bad career move on his part. He wanted it but was overruled by Top Rank and Bob Arum because they guaranteed Tim too much money in the rematch clause. Therefore, he reluctantly fought Marquez for the fourth time instead.

Nonetheless, the facts remain. Pac has not looked the same since those two losses. He hardly even resemble the fighting machine he once was five and six years ago where he was demolishing and steamrolling past opponents like: De La Hoya, Hatton, Cotto and Margarito. That version of Manny would have been easily favored to defeat Money Mayweather but now I am not so sure.

---The bottom line is its worth it for the promoters and management to procrastinate- its a market maneuver -no matter how much the public knows they're being toyed with, they still fall for it.....It works, so why the hell not....This gets even the non-fight fans to want this fight - this concept as clear as day as it is, is worth mega $$$ to all parties. A couple hundred million dollar fight- i see why they are choosing to drag this out and torment us fans as they rake up even more interest $$. The fight will being announced soon.

Pacquiao says fight with Mayweather is a done deal; others say announcement this weekend is imminent

                February 14th, 2015

By Sizzle JKD: It***8217;s Friday the 13th and there***8217;s an unexplainably spooky and scary feeling among those who don***8217;t want to see Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight Manny Pacquiao (and vice versa) that the fight of the century is on.

Although the mega fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather wasn***8217;t announced on Super Bowl Sunday as everyone had hoped, the announcement of boxing***8217;s own super bowl was never in question. It***8217;s going to happen. And the flying fists of Pacquiao will meet the high-guard defense of Mayweather on May 2nd in Las Vegas.

On January 29, I wrote that last minute complications during the negotiations would be the only thing that can delay the announcement during Super Bowl weekend, and as it turned out there were indeed unforeseen impediments that resulted in the talks hitting a minor snag.

Whether the barriers were a direct result of HBO and Showtime disagreeing about a couple of issues or merely Mayweather***8217;s obstinate inclination to religiously seek unending attention so he could be the sole entity to announce the fight whenever he sought fit, at the end of the day the announcement was always imminent. Not once did I ever think otherwise. I stayed the course, relied on what the network disclosed, and never doubted the intentions of television executives, the promoters, and most importantly, both fighters.

There will be no more confusion, no more second-guessing, and no more Mayweather-Cotto 2 predictions or those ridiculous Pacquiao-Vargas rumors that so many uninformed scribes and commenters so willfully claimed was going to happen.

Mayweather vs. Pacquiao is on, and nothing can be more revealing to this truth than the fact both fighters have already begun training for the bout.

Pacquiao usually commences training about eight weeks before his fights but why has he already begun his workouts yet we are still more than ten weeks from May 2nd? Because Manny knows he***8217;s in for the fight of his life and his focus this time around is having the best and most spirited training camp he***8217;s ever had.

Rumors also surfaced out of Las Vegas that Mayweather began light training after his return from his Caribbean vacation. He is currently in New York City hosting a party tonight and tomorrow to celebrate NBA All-Star Weekend. Mayweather will be in attendance at the All-Star game as well.

When asked by GMA-7, a television station in the Philippines, about the impending announcement, Pacquiao said, ***8220;Oo, positive na (Yes, it is a positive),***8221; while nodding his head as if to say it***8217;s a done deal.

***8220;Pirma na lang ni Mayweather (Just Floyd***8217;s signature is needed),***8221; added Pacquiao while hinting the contract is all but done and that Mayweather simply has to put pen to paper and finalize the deal.
                A recent Instagram post by Pacquiao futher hinted, ***8220;More than anything that is very important is when you serve the Lord and spend time with family before the serious training for the upcoming fight. Fight who?????? Hehehe, I***8217;m excited for this!***8221;

Of course, there is a gag order that was placed by Mayweather prohibiting both sides to tell ***8220;the truth***8221; therefore Pacquiao can***8217;t fully reveal what***8217;s about to happen. Pacquiao, however, can certainly provide clues through social media.

The signs, thought subtle, have spoken volumes since the negotiations began. Only the trained and watchful eye is able to decode the puzzle.

First, it was Mayweather***8217;s numerous appearances at Staples Center in Los Angeles during the months of December and January, suggesting that he was in town to meet with manager Al Haymon, who has offices in Los Angeles and was frequenting the L.A. area in between meetings with Spike TV to announce his deal to air his new show ***8220;Premier Boxing Champions,***8221; which debuts in March. A key indicator that Haymon wanted to keep everything on the hush was the fact that no boxing media was invited to the press conference to announce his new show at Spike TV***8217;s Santa Monica headquarters.

Second, it was Pacquiao***8217;s untimely worldwide tour that garnered all kinds of attention as Manny flew to Los Angeles to meet with his team at Top Rank, promote his docu-film to the masses in L.A and New York, then took trips to Miami to judge the Miss Universe Pageant, London to dine with Prince Harry, and the nation***8217;s capital to attend a prayer breakfast with President ***** and other political leaders.

Then there was the not-so-impromptu meeting with Mayweather at the Miami Heat game that created a media and fan frenzy like no other while further bolstering everyone***8217;s confidence that the fight was moments away from being finalized. It***8217;s important to note that Manny and Jinkee***8217;s courtside seat are typically reserved for Mayweather and his friends. How did Manny somehow secure courtside seats that Mayweather***8217;s team normally uses? Think about it. Was the Floyd-Manny meeting in Miami a coincidence, as both teams said it was? No freakin***8217; way. Everything was planned.

The only thing that was derailed was Floyd***8217;s promotional tour in Australia because Floyd wasn***8217;t allowed to enter the country due to his being a convicted felon. When Floyd***8217;s visa was denied, he instead decided to go on vacation to the Caribbean islands further distancing himself from the negotiations because he already knew the fight was a done deal waiting to happen.

In fact, it is this writer***8217;s opinion that the fight became a done deal the night in Pacquiao***8217;s Miami hotel room when both fighters reportedly discussed the last two remaining issues regarding HBO and Showtime. Both fighters then left with the understanding that it would be Floyd who would announce the fight at his discretion, and would announce it whenever he pleased. Simply put, it was Floyd being Floyd.

Over the last week, very little has been said about the Showtime-HBO negotiations. Maybe it***8217;s because the last couple of issues that were thought to have been delaying the announcement had already been resolved a long time ago in spite of what the media and the networks have told you.

If this was the case, and if Mayweather wanted the least amount of transparency as possible when it came to the talks, it***8217;s clear why it makes sense for both sides to make it seem as if they keep going back and forth so as to keep the public guessing and in essence, continue GENERATING THE HYPE. This was always the key.

Anyone who knows Mayweather***8217;s tendencies and antics knows that Mayweather has always been the type to keep you in limbo. He will play games with your head and then suddenly announce the fight in the 12th hour, when nobody expects it. He did it with the Marcos Maidana fight when his fans choose Amir Khan, then he suddenly turned on his promise and fought Maidana instead. He did it with Robert Guerrero in 2013, when he waited until the last minute to announce that Guerrero was his opponent and shocked the boxing world by revealing his switch from HBO to Showtime.

In addition, Mayweather***8217;s opponents are always wondering who he***8217;s going to fight next and while his opponents are anxiously waiting, Floyd is already in the gym training and gaining a competitive edge.

But in this case, both fighters are so legendary that no amount of psychological mind games will one-up the other prior to fight night. Manny is already ahead of the curve and training at 100% efficiency. Floyd is probably already in fight shape and could fight Manny next week if he wanted. That***8217;s what makes these two fighters above and beyond the competition.

                Ring Magazine***8217;s Doug Fischer, who has some of the most reliable and trusted insider sources in boxing, said today, ***8220;I***8217;ve heard rumors that it could be announced during this weekend***8217;s NBA All-Star game ***8211; maybe Les Moonves took my advice and brought in J.Prince (highly respected music and boxing manager who currently manages Andre Ward and formerly managed Floyd) to help convince Mayweather to finalize the deal.***8221;

Pacquiao and Mayweather are second to none. They***8217;re undeniably the two best all-stars in the sport today, and during NBA All-Star Weekend in New York, the fight will finally be announced.
The only way the message doesn***8217;t get revealed this weekend is if more complications in Mayweather***8217;s mind prevents him from manning up and taking the challenge. After all, we already knew the final contract, the posturing, the back-and-forth between the networks, and the media buzz were nothing but formalities all along.

i 100% think bradley lost the first fight, but won the 2nd fight...and you are right even hardcore would turn away if floyd was knocked out...pacquiao just has been shoved down their throats and they loved it...u said he is not looking the same..i agree and disagree...he fought more of a pure boxer in bradley and he never did that early in his career and he got a bit exposed and very much so in the 2nd fight...now he surelly still looks the same with marquez (still struggling vs a flat footed counterpuncher)...now when u put him in with rios he is killer b/c those guys are come foward stalkers and he loves thats..

These people have also admitted that no matter what happens Floyd will get the blame for the fight not happening no matter if he's in the wrong or in the right. These people would rather not see this fight JUST so they can see Mayweather's legacy and reputation torn to shreds. That's how much these fools hate him. Him beating Pacquiao would be a nightmare come true for these guys.

Their hate for Floyd has clouded their judgement to the point that they don't even want to see this fight. They just want to see Mayweather humiliated anyway how. Tsk Tsk
No need for that, Floyd humiliates himself plenty. Seems like the only one who doesn't want the fight to really happen is Floyd himself, time to wake up to reality.
