Speaking with GMA News TV, WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao said the ongoing discussions for a mega-fight unification with WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. were moving along well.

He told reporters he felt 'positive' about the actual possibility of facing Mayweather. He says the only thing missing was a contract being drawn up and a "signature" from Maweather.

I think the fights going to happen but Floyd haters don't want it to. I've even heard some admit that part of them doesn't want to see Mayweather Pacquiao. These people have also admitted that no matter what happens Floyd will get the blame for the fight not happening no matter if he's in the wrong or in the right. These people would rather not see this fight JUST so they can see Mayweather's legacy and reputation torn to shreds. That's how much these fools hate him. Him beating Pacquiao would be a nightmare come true for these guys.

Call me a ******* contrarian, but I believe this article was based on an interview with Manny where he said in Tagalog (filipino) that he is waiting for the "pirma lang", which translates to "waiting for signature now".

Bring the pain! Bring the pain!!! Pac already started his light training and just waiting for Floyd to announce it. According to him, everything has been ironed out and just Floyds signature is missing and once he sign the contract, Floyd will announce the fight. Perhaps during halftime of the NBA all star game? I surely hope so.
