Is Canelo the real deal?

I like Jacobs a lot too, just curious why you think canelo would have problems with him? I don't see it and I think he'd get steamrolled.

I keep envisioning Jacobs lading a huge right hand on Canelo and dropping him... Don't know why.

He's a bad style match up for a guy who's better than him in every single area. And once again, how many of those guys exist? There are gonna be other fighters that beat Canelo. But I doubt he will fight any thst beat him like that, soso yes, it had a lot to do with floyd's skills. Canelo lost to a guy much smaller and much older than him. Floyd is old in boxing years, so if it isn't his skills them what exactly is it?

Pacquiao would beat Canelo just as decisively. Prime Martinez would humiliate Canelo, Thurman could arguably beat Canelo.

I think he is a hell of a fighter and he is only just turning 24. He is very serious and dedicated to becoming the best boxer he can be. I think he can beat anybody who fights at 154 or 160 except GGG. GGG would knock him out just as he knocked out the last 17 guys he fought. I think Canelo has learned enough and Mayweather has slipped enough that Canelo could reverse the Mayweather loss if Canelo can fight at 154 instead of 152. I don't think Canelo will duck GGG. You should put an I think or in my opinion in front of all that. Nobody knows how future fights will end until they happen. It could just as easily be Canelo who beats Pacquiao decisively, humiliates a prime Martinez and knocks out Thurman. Why do you think everyone who ranks fighters, Ring, Boxing Scene, Boxrec and all the rest rank Canelo as the best Jr. Middleweight in the world? Are they all ****** and the only smart one is you?

Yes, I definitely think Canelo is the real deal. I think the Lara decision was suspect but I like canelos strategy. He couldn't outbox Lara but he found away to land to the body and had Lara retreating. That made the fight close, so no one could really argue with the decision. I like Canelo as one of the faces of the future.

He is a star but I still can't over how bad he performed against Mayweather. Maidana and Cotto looked better.
