Well, if he could find a Tardis or a scientifically souped up Delorian and travel back in time and taken the fights he should have taken when he should have taken them and emerge victorious,/that would get him very, very close.......although he would still be the same age as now; but if he still won with that handicap, that would get him closer.

Alas, he'll/probably just have to keep/saying it over and over until those of us who know better are outnumbered and drown out by those who are less well versed...then he will be by popular opinion.

well considerering every fan thinks they know someone who can beat you, no matter what, and humans cant stand being wrong. you cant possibly be good, cause I dont like you. every champion in boxing is not really that good, and its easy to be a champion in boxing, look at floyd he has benefited from paying refs, and judges other boxers, although he faced and beaten more champions than anyone to lace a pair of gloves up but his resume is not what I think a perfect resume should be.....But what did this guy accomplish, without paying, judges, refs, commentators on top of all of the rampant crime he commits, (if you listen to a pac fan). He's fought the toughest record in boxing according to his resume and went unbeaten, he's currently Lineal champion of WW, Jr Mid at the same time and undefeated, He's the highest paid Athlete, he's the reason anyone pays attention to boxing because people actually PAY to see him perform. He has beaten every opponent put in the ring with him
I guess if he has the top 5 ppv's, go undefeated against almost half a resume full of champions, become WW, Jr Mid, and Middleweight champion, and then paint your face white. MAYBE, JUST MAYBE HE WILL CONSIDERED. CAUSE WHAT WOULD ANYONE HAVE TO DO THAT FLOYD HASNT DONE TO EVER BE CONSIDERED. SO.......:****you:

He's definitely in the top 5 best fighters in history and maybe in the top 10 when it comes to level of opposition faced, which is greatly not his fault, he came to boxing at a time where promoters were and still are in control of everything in the sport and different promoters don't like to work with one another, the fights the people wanted to see in 2006-2009 were Cotto, Mosley, Margarito and maybe Paul Williams, but if you take a closer look, most of these fighters were with Bob arum and at the time there were a lot of problems between Golden boy and Bob Arum and Floyd Mayweather himself, there were court cases and everything, so imo I don't think it was possible for Floyd to fight Cotto and Margarito at this time.
Mosley turned down a fight with Mayweather in 1999 when they were both undefeated, then in 2006 he wanted to go on "vacation" after his fight with vargas and he clearly wanted no part of Floyd Mayweather, Paul williams was still a contender and he was relatively unknown in 2006-2007 and in 2008 he lost to Carlos Quintana and then fought him again and then moved up in weight shortly after.
There were a couple of fights that could've been made before that though, a fight against Kostya Tzsyu at 140 would've been awesome and joel Casamayor at 135 also. At that time nobody could tell why these fights didn't happen.

We talked about this before, he can't. And it's nothing he did or didn't do that has made him unable to be TBE.

Take the Pac and the Triple G fight, go out and KO them with in 3 rounds.

You know that is not going to happen so he will never be the TBE, he shouldn't had not retired when his division got hot and Pac was on top of the world

I think it's a little too late for that.

There's nothing he CAN do anymore. There will never be a world wide consensus that he deserves that title.

I was going to post something similar because its too late now for Floyd.

People who understand boxing knows what Floyd has done. Its good marketing achievement to sell yourself but falls short when you are discussing legacy.

Purchase or construct a device that allows him to move to another timeline earlier in his career and then fight a bunch of risky fights instead of taking a convenient sabbatical. Once he's done with that, he'll need to continue to fight the best guys around his weight well into his 40s. At that point in that timeline, such discussions may commence without being completely farcical in nature.

                      That is all.

                      Carry on.
