It's because Froch has nothing to gain from beating the old man. At least Chavez is a Vegas fight on HBO PPV for huge money.

The Hopkins fight is just throwing an old man a bone at the end of his crap smoke n mirrors career. Froch has no mandate to fight Hopkins - he's completely irrelevant.

I predicted Froch to lose to Bute and Groves. I'm not worried about him losing. I want to see Froch fight Ward again or DeGale knowing full well he could lose both those fights but at least there is something to gain. There's an incentive.

I just don't care about Hopkins and no one does except his sad fanboys and sympathisers. He's irrelevant. I don't care about that fight in the slightest because it does nothing for Froch's career.
